Most Unrealistic Part

Also, how was Anya able to attend school for the last part of season 3? Demons don't have social security cards or birth certificates, which she'd need for the job at the Magic Box. Unless Giles paid her under the table =P
And also, in 'Blood Ties', Xander attacks Glory with a crowbar. She grabs it from him and throws him. Come on, hell god? She woulda stuck it through his face. How did the scoobies know she wouldn't hurt him?
 
Buffy's Hair! My god this had bugged me! Especially in The Gift. She has barley enough time to run home and grab some weapons but when she pops up in front of Glory she has perfectly straight hair!

I barley have time to make my hair that perfect how the frick does she do it?

I lol'd at that.

Buffy always looking terrific is pretty unrealistic for me, but another big part was that Xander or Willow had not been killed by a demon or vamp yet and that Buffy or somebody normally bailed them out a just the right minute.

Oh course, it's TV and I love the unrealisticness of it. 🙂
 
What about Buffy jumping through the window when Faith had Joyce hostage? That was kind of cool but seriously... And I'm assuming here that Joyce's room is on the 2nd floor.

I listened to the commentary for Bargaining and David Fury and Marti Noxon were talking about how Buffy had fabulous hair and clothes and whatnot when she rose from the grave. And that her hair grew so long, they were kind of joking about it--I love that about the crew, they're all so self deprecating and sarcastic which rules. I love when they say how they just rip things off--"we stole that from The Matrix, we admit it, we're hacks".

Why didn't Buffy and Dawn have a pet? I know, I know, it's a show and I guess animals can be difficult, but it seems weird that none of them had a pet, besides Willow's brief fish. Even though they all had a lot of things to do and couldn't completely care for a pet, I'd have at least thought that Dawn would have had one.

Giles had that zombie cat, which was adorable by the way. 🙂

I'm still wondering about Sunnydale having docks and an ocean ... but in the middle of the desert. That's my favorite actually.

The best of both worlds. Unless you hate both desert and ocean. Then it would just completely blow.
That Giles and Xander, Willow and Buffy could just go in and out the school when they wanted to.
I never understood that no one knew that Buffy was dead either.

I know my memory is bad so I admit I can be wrong. But since all the people the mask made to zombies died (or at least disappeared) when the mask was destroyed (Mobani/Pat got it's eye poked) wouldn't the cat have died too? And if so Giles didn't even have it for one full episode since it was a stray cat. And not like he kept it as a pet. But maybe it lived longer (can we blame the whole 9 lives thing? 😉). Did we see it in any other episode?

I hate in Once More, With Feeling when Buffy leaves The Magic Box to confront Sweet and apparently had time to change into a different outfit along the way! There's other things, but i need to run to work so I will be thinking about them there haha.
 
^ There are a few instances where Buffy has time to go home, change, do her hair, touch up her makeup. It really drives me up the wall! But then again, I guess you have to suspend belief of reality when it comes to how she looks. Lets face it, the high school I went to didn't really have that level of good looking students. When I was 16, I didn't look like Willow. Which leads me to another point - not a single person from Sunnydale ever had a pimple. I'm going to guess this was due to the hellmouth?!

Nah... the Hellmouth makes it so that when you do have a pimple, it's a saggy bag of ooze from hell - so anyone who gets one makes sure to stay out of view on those days. 😀

I accept the magic and the spells, that's part of the universe and it just works. Same for demons and vampires.

So I find Warren's robots more unrealistic. As I understand it he actually build them, not using magic.
That goes also for the kids that puts together bodyparts in 'Some Assembly Required'. It just doesn't sound plausible that some highschool students could do that just like that.

This may have been mentioned already, but for a show based on the supernatural, I found the psychic link between Buffy, Xander and Willow in s7 when they were communicating to each other through thought to be unrealistic as it had never occured before or after that one time. It was completely random.

Also getting all the graduating students teaming together at the end of s3 was also iffy, but we do know that they are aware of some of the goings on around the town.
 
really? I might have to watch that episode again. when did it happen?
But yeah, still unrealistic, even for two occurrences
 
Right at the start, the whole slaying vamps in the graveyard was orchestrated by Willow on top of a crypt, telling everyone where the vamps were.
 
Something else funny was that they never got change back. They always seemed to have the EXACT amount of cash needed, and they just randomly hand the cashier money. This happened twice at the magic shop with Jenny and Willow. I thought maybe it was a tip to the cashier, but you're not supposed to do that.
Also, you never see Angel stop by a gas station to fill up his car. Is his gas tank immortal, too?

They did stop to fill the tank once... on the run from Jasmine. Remember the line "I won't hit him, he's icky" about the gas station worker with the mullet? ^^
 
About the psychic thing, don't forget when Willow used it to Spike in The Gift. She's definitely ready to be Dark Phoenix.
