Oh yeah *hits head* forgot totally obviously about that. You would think she would be drained from the tara brain thing to be able to do that.
 
What about Giles and his special friend Olivia, it seemed kinda weird to me that she just popped up out of no-where.
 
Also another one, how Buffy just suddenly reveals her identity as the Slayer to her mother and how she just quickly accepts it even without a full explanation other than a vamp being dusted infront of her. It's not so unrealistic but I just wish Joyce found out another way.

I thought it was unrealistic how Joyce saw a vamp be dusted and still wouldn't accept it. I mean, if you see a vamp dusted, you Gotta accept it!
On the note of no other students ever using the library - does anyone notice how...ancient the library is? I remember the library in my high school with more computers, printers accessible to the students, a copy machine etc. I know Giles had issues with technology, but it's not Giles' say-so on whether or not the school puts computers into the library. The one ancient one they had sitting around seemed kind of like a lame plot device.

Oh, and the DRESS CODE. How do these girls get away with wearing that stuff to school? I get that California is different than Illinois, and the schools are probably different in regards to dress code, but at my school we couldn't wear spaghetti strap tops, much less pair it with a skirt so short it threatens to show the world my goodies everytime I sit down. /me shrugs. That always bugged me.
 
Well I would venture to say that not every small town school library was all high tech in 1997. They had a computer lab, after all 😉 My high school library, which probably was better than most, didn't have a copy machine for the students.

But when Willow does the online dating thing, isn't there a computer in the library in that episode?

Yeah there was a room with computers the students could use(i robot, you jane) also my high school library was pretty ancient.
How about how most demons end up connected to Buffy or one of her friends, and the Gem of Amara (The Vampires Holy Grail)
just happens to be under Sunnydale, and easily accessed after a few days lol
 
Yeah, Buhbi, you gotta imagine they did that simply for... what did they call it? Phlabatonin? Just because it was easy--because you're right, the chances of the "Holy Grail" being right in Sunnydale is pretty convenient.

But then again, even if it had been in the middle of Africa, Spike could have been back from there in half a week. On a motorcycle. 😉
 
I'm also shocked as to how there's no emergency handle in the boiler room where Giles, Willow, and Xander get stuck. Aren't all enclosed spaces like those supposed to have an emergency way out? :O

Wasn't Willow using a computer in the computer lab in that episode? I don't think she was using a computer in the library. I think in that episode Giles was learning how to use a computer and Willow was helping his scan things onto the computer and that's how she released that demon. But aside from that you never saw more then one computer in the library. Or so I remember!
 
Another thing I realized is unrealistic is in Graduation Day when the Scoobies are able to convince two hundred high school kids to fight with them. How would that conversation have gone down? "Hey yo. There's gonna be a huge snake/demon attack tomorrow. We need you to help us set him on fire. Or shoot at vampires with arrows on fire.
Oh and also, you might die. "

There's a certain group of people at my school who, um, don't really like me very much. I can imagine how awkward a conversation would be with them trying to help me and the rest of the school kill a giant demon.
 
Wow I love that the thread I started is still going, cheers guys! One more from the list is Fred's texan accent which strangely only stayed around till 'Fredless' after which it seemed to disappear along with her uber craziness.
 
Buffy had chances to kill Spike in season 2, but she let him go. The biggest chance is in Halloween. She beated him up and just stood there mocking him with her eyes. Then he got up and ran away. But it's okay. I like Spike. 🙂
 
How about the fact that Buffy could be on the other side of Sunnydale, but if she needed to come to the rescue she would be there within moments by running there. I mean really, how big is Sunnydale?!?!

I never understood that either. I just watched This Year's Girl and it occured to me that Buffy was able to run in seconds to her mom's house after being at Giles' house. That is crazy. Also, why would she jump onto the roof and burst through the window?

That's the episode I was thinking of! I just couldn't think of the name off the top of my head! I just always amazed me. I get the fact that Buffy has super strength, but super speed...?

And another thing (which they did mention in one episode after Joyce had passed away), how many times were the things in Buffy's house destroyed, and Joyce never once talked about how she was having to keep replacing all of her furniture due to all the vampire/demon fights in her house. That's just crazy! Who could afford, on a single person's income, brand new furniture every other week?!?! Not me!
 
I know! Especially so quickly! They smashed bookshelves, tables, windows. You'd think Buffy would consider this and not throw people into furniture or bust through windows.
