*GASP* Where is Spike? Lol... well I guess it's not that upsetting because he's back on Angel in a few montsh.... but.... Tara was pretty bad.... mind you so was Joyce. Wow-ie that episode was so intense! Definetely those three top my list... but I will vote Tara, only one on there! 😀

This topic was posted a while ago after You're Welcome aired in the UK. I was stupid and checked the spoilers.

Anywho, Joyce and Tara.
 
Tara with Anya very close behind. They were just about the only two I hadn't known about before I actually saw their death. (Spoilers)
 
As much as I want to say Tara ... I'm leaning a little to Anya. I don't know, I guess it was because I wasn't expecting it ... made me sad ...
 
Fred. It was so sad to see her get sick(or possesed) and die. I can't get the image of her spiting up blood. She was my favorite on Angel.(Besides Spikey and Angel.)
 
Honestly?

I would have to say that it was a five-way tie between Darla, Lilah, Cordelia, Warren and Buffy's deaths.

I guess you're all wondering why I had included Warren. Well, the topic did say "upsetting" and I found his death grusome and upsetting.
 
Buffy...I have never cried so much before in my life...I couldnt stop crying..I was still crying when the credits had finished...Wesley was sad too..but I was too annoyed to cry..
 
I voted for Tara. I loved her character, and I love how it had developed from the quirky dorky shy type to the confident, mature, and caring character that she turned into. I felt that there was so much more potential for her character, but I guess that's what made it hurt, and why it felt so real. To see a life of possibilities...a character with a whole future ahead of her snuffed out by something as stoopid as a jerk waving a gun around. It hurt. Pretty bad...but it served it's purpose. It lead well into Willow falling off the wagon, and being consumed entirely by the dark forces that she had tried to leave behind.

Buffy in S5 was pretty close for me. I have seen "the gift" 3 or 4 times, and every time I have cried. Even when I think of it, I get teary. It's sad, but beautiful, and noble at the same time. It really summed up her life on the show. She gave, and gave and gave. Her time as a slayer was all about sacrifice. She gave and gave and gave in every aspect of her life, and without hesitation she gave the most precious gift that anyone could ever give...her life so that others could go on.

So yep, thost two had the most impact on me

The Body & The Gift

I don't think it's possible to watch The Body and not atleast tear up. It is perhaps the most moving thing I have ever seen (yes I stand by that statement completely).

I also cried when Buffy died S.5 because I just didn't believe she should have had to die especially when Dawn could have so easily been thrown in and then have willow do a lil spell so they forget Dawn. No one else even came close. Why'd they have to go? 🙁
 
LOL...you're too funny...I agree with the Dawn being thrown in part...I'm rewatching S5 and I forgot how irksome she was.
 
I say that it is Cordy, Fred, Wes, Buffy, and Anya.....and when spike died in the last buffy.....i cryed on all of them.....i'm pathetly obessed with my tv shows i love so much
 
Lindsey's was the most disturbing to me, not because his character would be sorely missed (because I do love the evil ones), but mainly because it underscored Angel's switch from "I'm the hero and I'll make the world better on step at a time" to "I'm a hero and we'll do things my way". That Angel and Lorne would kill someone, even someone who had had past transgressions is just very unsettling to me. Yes, Lindsey might well have turned on Angel and co., but for the moment he was on the side of good, and to kill him while under the guise of friendship is reprehensible for someone seeking the moral highground.
 
Buffy, Fred, Joyce, Tara........

Buffy, the saddest one of all to me. She was at her peak, but she couldn't take the world anymore................ her struggles were over. It wouldn't have been as sad if she hadn't been so damn noble! She was amazing, yet sad.

Fred, to me, it rivals Buffy. Soo freakin' sad, Amy worked it so well.

Joyce, just the way the whole ep played out.

Tara, her death didn't actually affect me, it was about what it did to Willow.

I so got to agree with it . I had a hard time with Fred. and then to have her come back as Illyria. It was so sad.. And how Wes felt to be in love with Fred and then have Illyria come it was to sad.

So I had to add Joyce it was too sad. I mean losing your mother after you think she's better. I such a hard time and then when Spike came to give Buffy flowers for Joyce and Xand was mad at Spike was so sad. And Ayna talking about how she does not understand made Joyce's death all the more hard...

Agree with you. I can't really add any thing except the way Tara died was sad. Not as Fred but still really sad.
 
FRED!!! She was/is the Buffyverse charcter I most related to, and as much as Illyria was a cool chracter with great lines I missed Fred. Next would be Anya... I mean I knew Spike was going to die (and come back on Angel) before I saw it but, Anya's death was a total shocker.
 
Anya!!!!

Ok...you might think its cuz I love her or whatever...but it was the fact it was so sudden, and...the worst thing was...it was SUCH a horrible way to die...and that her body was left to just...you know...be crumbled...

She doesnt even get a funeral...
