Most-Watched Series Premiere of the Fall Season

The most-watched series premiere of the fall season has been... Supergirl. Monday’s premiere drew nearly 13 million same-day viewers, making it the most-watched series premiere of what has heretofore been a lackluster fall for both broadcast and cable networks. It also gives Supergirl the distinction of having the broadest opening of any of the recent wave of superhero-themed TV shows, period. More than Agents of SHIELD, more than Flash more than Gotham and more than Arrow.

I guess that's a testament to the staying power of Ally McBeal! You go Calista.

Now let's see if those viewers come back. I did enjoy the first ep. It's not great but it was fun. The chick is cute and i did like the references to Superman. Calista Flockhart did a great job playing the bitchy boss. I'll watch the next episode and then see if i wanna stick with it. It's nice to have a female superhero show though.

That's what I will be interested in seeing how that plays out and what the demographics looks like. As much as I like Calista Flockhart I have yet to see it. But I don't really care for those types of TV shows that much.

Well I think with the premiere it drew in a big demographic. A lot of people interested in seeing a female superhero, and I think some people were hoping to see Superman (what they got was a Dean Cain cameo). So even fans of the other comic book shows probably watched. I'm sure the fan base will be mostly girls, the men on the show I don't think are relatable to guys. I do watch The Flash, but have not seen Arrow, and I can't wait for Agent Carter to come back. So pretty much, I'm the demographic. lol.

I couldn't watch it last season. It just seemed really tedious and I stopped after maybe the first four or five episodes. But when I heard they were bringing on Neal McDonough I started watching again this season. He is brilliant it in thus far. His portrayal does remind me alittle of his character on Justified, but thats not a bad thing.
