I just watched Farenheit 9/11 (finally). I enjoyed it but it was definitely not a "documentary," rather it was more like a propaganda film since it only showed one side of the story. While I agree with many of Moore's opinions and don't dispute his information I give it only a 9 since it was completely one sided.

Moore only spouts liberal lies! And your right, its not a documentary, because a lot of the information is false.

There is actually a movie called Fahrenhype 9/11. Its a conservative take on Moore and his lies. I suggest you watch it after watching the original.

The story: Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as a nurse living in Tokyo who, when she goes to check on a creepy house, is exposed to a curse that comes as a result of people dying in a rage. The film is a remake of the ultra-creepy 2003 Japanese film, "Ju-on."
The buzz: Shimizu directed the original film, so the action should stay just as violent as it was in "Ju-on." Japanese horror films tend to be a lot less straightforward than those made here, which makes them a lot more surreal and frankly a lot more fun. This seems like a good career move for Gellar, who finally gets a chance to use some of her "Buffy" skills on the big screen. No more "Scooby-Doo" sequels, please! You may remember Behr from the short-lived television show, "Roswell."

Hmm does that mean shes semi-super hero in this movie? I mean it says "buffy" moves.

Although I didn't think the trailer looked to scary, but I saw it a couple of months ago.


And thats true. Sarah needs to do better movies. Maybe something indie? Or Oscar worthy.
 
Was Harvard Man considered Indie or just really bad?

The Grudge so far reminds me of the Ring, which I liked as it was much more original than most Horror flicks. I'm not a big fan of the slash/hack types (ie. Freddy Krueger)
 
I think Harvard Man was indie, although really bad too 🙂

I loved the Ring too-it's the only horror movie that still gives me the creeps no matter how many times I see it!
 
You are both right. A really bad indie movie.

I realize that the main character was on drugs during the whole movie, but with the everchanging camera angles, I felt like I was on drugs too. Gave me a headache.

Not to mention the weak plot.
 
The Grudge was a great choice for SMG.Ju On is a famous japanese horror cult film.Asian Horror Film Remakes, such as The Ring, are famous horror films.

I want to see the Grudge. I love Freaky looking moives. And this one looks that why.
Does any one Know what its Rated...
 
Ooh cheers Cordelia, I was presuming it would be an 18 here and I would have to sneak in. Im guessing that means it'll be a 15.

Watched "Cabin Fever" the other day after someone at work game it me. Its okay, nothing great. The biggest thing for me was seeing the opening credits and going "Its Rider Strong from Boy Meets World!"
 
Nope, im an ickle 17 year old. 18 in Feb, I expect presents 😛

So yeah The Grunge is the next film I'll see in the cinema probably.

Fahrenheit is definetly a propaganda film, but as long as you're aware of that and don't consider it to be the objective truth, I think it's a great movie. And I do think most people realize this is propaganda, it can still be really interesting and ask relevent questions.
I really like Michael Moore's humour, the sarcasm.. I think I laughed through the whole movie (ok, exept that I cried once in a while too).
