Okay...in the dark days between our species rising from the primordeal soup and the invention of MP3s, most of us got our musical variety/mix fix from movie soundtracks. They're fun, they usually have a variety of different bands and styles of music. Sometimes they're inextricably associated with the movies they're spawned from, sometimes they have a total life of thier own.

So what's your favorite movie soundtrack album?

Mine is from a movie that I've actually never seen, and probably never will: Judgement Night. It's a kickass collaboration of the best thrash bands and rappers from the early nineties. Really interesting musical experiment, and sort of a harbinger of bands like Korn.

Judgement Nigh is a deliciously rocking movie. You HAVE to see it. I have been looking to buy it on DVD for some time, to no avail.

Denis Leary rocks in it.

My fave soundtracks....well I love..

The Tarintino Connection (compilation from all his movies)
The Beach Soundtrack finds it's way into my car quite a bit.

Oooohhh, I luv soundtracks!

I have a few: Practical Magic, Reality Bites, My Best Friend's Wedding, Moulin Rouge and Spawn.

There are many more movies out there with awesome soundtracks...movies and music=magic!

I used to have the soundtrack from Interview with a Vampire, Immortal Beloved and Pulp Fiction...those are sadly no more. 🙁
 
I LOVE MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS!!!

I want the Queen Of The Damned soundtrack REALLY bad but as far as the ones I own...

My fav would be The Crow...but I also like Crow 2, Scream, Spawn, Natural Born Killers, Strangeland...damn, I need some new cd's...

Ya know, sometimes it sucks to be older than almost everyone on the BB, lol, because most of my musical picks are going to be as old as me, and totally alien to people. 😛

For my ALL TIME fave movie soundtrack, it's "SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER".
That's right, I love disco! And not ashamed to admit it!

I don't think I've ever bought a movie soundtrack album. I once was nearly given the "Tommy" soundtrack as a present but the lady in question was persuaded that it was a bad idea🙂 Jack Nicholson is a great actor but he ain't no singer 😉 Elton John, Roger Daltrey and Tina Turner were very good in it though...The Who's original beats the soundtrack hands down.
 
The only sountrack albums i have (beside the Buffy ones) are the ones to 'The Matrix' and 'The Matrix Reloaded' cos they've got such good music on them.

My mum has the 'Grease' soundtrack- that's pretty cool!

mine's the soudtrack to the russian movie 'brat-2' (brother-2).. it could be called 'the best of russian rock' as far as i know ^^

Wow...Krush Groove! Holy Memories, Batman!! I used to think Kurtis Blow was the coolest man on the planet.

Which probably goes a long way to explaining my current state of terminal dorkitude. 🙂
