moving home

how much fun is moving home?:scratchch
i worked for a company that have recently gone bust so i was made unemployed and homeless on 20th dec nice::eyes1::
we have thankfully found somewhere to live and i have found a new job even though the pay is pooh and i dont start for another few weeks:clown2:
my partner and friend still have to find jobs::eyes1::
so over the next week or so we will be moving flats and its so much fun (not).. so far its just me driving in my rover111i....did i mention i have an evil cold too::eyes1:: omg this month sucks.... so to top it all off when the phone line is transfered to the new place i will have up to 21 DAYS to wait for the INTERNET to get hooked up argggg

When I read your first line I thought 'Are you serious?' I hate moving house! It sucks! I moved to my new house 2 years ago and i can still remember how much i hated it even now!

I'm sorry to hear about your job! That truly sucks! I think 2005 has been a crappy year for everyone. I hope everything is better for you this year. Good Luck from moi!:flower:

It does suck having to move.

I had to move out of my apartment when I finished college (cuz, shock, school teachers don't make enough money to support themselves) and I had to move back in with my parents. It was tough, because I liked my whole apartment compared to my two rooms at home.

Hey well I know how you feel about moving home SB. When I first became a teacher I had to move home. I managed to stay there for about 6 months but then it got too much for me. Me and my brother really don't get on when we live together. Anyway I rented for a year and finally two years ago i was able to afford to buy. My wages had increased considerably. So luckily now I have my own home but moving to it sucked as I had a years worth of stuff, plus all my teaching books! I still have no room for them.

Moving sucks. I had to move four years ago when our landlord sold our house without telling us and made us move out. It was terrible at first but I like where I live now. But, hopefully, things will get better in your new place. I wish you all the best.

I agree with Summers Blood. 2005 has had its share of crappiness. I had to change schools after they closed down my school. I hate my new school. 🙁

I hope it all goes well for you hon, you have my every sympathy. Sounds like you've had a particularly bad few weeks.

I read somewhere that moving home is one of the most stressful experiences you can have, almost as bad as the death of a loved one...

so sorry Foi! that sucks! omg was dec a bad month or what. (my fam and i also had a bad dec.

i feel with you! i moved twice in half a year (15th of dec 2004 and then juli 2005) and i might have to move this summer ... *anxiety attack* i sympathies!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm glad you got a new job though, hope your friends get a new job as well, nothing is worse then not having a home, or a job... i hope 2006 will be a better year!

nearly unpacked everything!!! new job is ok just the travel sucks - its been a long time since i had to drive to work lol !!! we had the official letters booting us out last week and the dead line was today so some of my mates are shafted but trying to be hopeful 🙁

Sorry to hear that hon, hope things pick up for you soon.

I'm in the process of moving too, going from Scotland to London and realised how much stuff I actually have and with no car i'm having to decide what gets the bin, what goes on ebay, what goes into storage and what goes down with me. Not looking forward to that part of it.
