I have a cd. Is there anyway I can change the songs on it to MP3 format on my computer?

Edit:

Never mind. I figured it out. Someone can delete this now, thanks. 🙂

I'll leave it here for now 'cos there may be others who don't know how...and I'd forgotten.

I googled "rip CDs to MP3 format" and it came up with a shed load of results.

I don't do this very often (and certainly not in breach of anyone's copyright 😉) and have used i-Tunes and Music Match, both of which do the job well and, more importantly, are pretty user-friendly. I believe Windows Media player will do it as well but I've never used that. There are also lots of other programs which will rip CDs and are free to download.

I don't know if the media player rips them to MP3s...everytime I've ripped music using that it's gone to WMA format.

If anyone can tell me if it's possible to rip to an MP3 format from the media player, I'd like to know 🙂

For Windows Media Player, just go to "rip", then "format" and change the format to "mp3" but you have to do that before you start ripping the cd of course
