Much Ado Soundtrack similar to OMWF

I listen to a lot of movie scores and soundtracks and I recently listened to samples of the Much Ado About Nothing score by Joss Whedon. It's very jazzy, but I can hear some similarities between the Much Ado soundtrack and the Once More With Feeling soundtrack, which was composed by Joss Whedon as well.
Now, I don't mean that he's ripping off his own work, I just mean that you can hear it's Joss. Like, for example, when you listen to Star Wars or Indiana Jones, you know it's John Williams.

I understand what you mean. I definitely hear similarities in the style of both soundtracks. There seems to be a very distinct sort of style there.
