Well i know above that i stated that Buffy could nto call another slayer so on so forth. But i heard some where that it is speculation that Dawn may be in the running for being the next slayer. And supposedly sometime this season she is supposed to get in some slaying. I heard an excellent speculation somewhere can't remember where...(thinks...racks brain for website)...still can't remember, anyway that Buffy did die this time technically... again, if you listened you heard the heart monitor in the background flatline but then psycho-Will came in and healed her.
Perhaps they could say that when she died the last time it was by a mystical energy, and this time she died a natural human death...again. So that is one way they could pull it.
One more point: For someone above that asked why Buffy had slayer powers if she passed them to Kendra who then passed them to Faith. My idea would be that the 'Calling' of beign a slayer only ignites the dormant strengths, and abilities of the slayer not actually stays with them, thus Buffy's predecessor died thus
calling' Buffy giving her her powers, who then died temporarily, thus her ability to 'call' someone was used to 'call' Kendra, who when died then 'called' Faith.
