Murder in the Morgue

Well I thought there was a few things that didn't make sense about this week's show. The thing that bothered me the most was that Tru, a stranger is allowed to take the bride away after she is shot. I would think that the groom or her Bride's Mother would have gone along with them.
 
i really liked the episode, it is strange how they let Tru take the bride away. I want to know what the rest of what Davis was going to say, i think Trus mom had the gift and that she saved davis before. it's all the background things that intrigued me, i really did like the episode.

I wanted to know what Davis was going to say too. I love the show but there was too many odd moments. Like when the bullet was going towards her face in slow motion, and when it gets really close the bride says, "help me" or whatever. Wouldn't the bullet take like a fraction of a second to hit her? And "help me" would take a lot longer. Sure it looked cool, but it made no sense. The only thing I can think of is that her powers were about to kick in so it slowed everything down for her? What do you think?
And the other thing that bothered me, is in the first day the cop shoots Tru & Davis, that would make no sense because the whole reason he went to the morgue was to take the evidence so that he wouldn't be accused of murder. So why would he then shoot 2 innocent people? Was he planning on then taking the bullets out of Tru & Davis?
 
i just enjoyed the episode...hehe sometimes i try not to think about it too much...!!
 
The episode was good where it is always good -- Tru and Davis, Tru and Harrison, and Tru being worried (Eliza does "worried" and "frantic" well).
Here's what didn't jive for me . . . why wasn't there an exit wound (other than the bullet being still inside the body was a plot point)? Given the size of the room and how close the girlfriend would have had to have been to shoot her, I'm pretty sure that the bullet should have gone through her. But I'm not a forensics expert by any means, so maybe not.
If she "bled out" in the chapel, then where was the blood (other than in the 8 o'clock time slot)? Why didn't she die in Meredith's car? No one was applying pressure to the wound in order to stop the bleeding.
Why didn't she die in the morgue? After a severe and rapid volume depletion such as what she was supposed to experience, she would need both oxygen (probably via a non-rebreather mask) and blood transfusions (a couple units at least) during surgery. An IV of D5 or LR (or D5LR) wouldn't hurt, to try to maintain what little fluids she still had. Even saline would have been helpful! And probably a whole bunch of other things, but that's not my specialty.
Why didn't Tru at least attempt a sterile field? I do hope that County General placed her on mad antibiotics, when she got there. How did she get there?
Why did no one apply pressure to stop the bleeding????? Yes, this was actually my main complaint about the episode. I'm not an ER nurse, or a paramedic, or an EMT, or a doctor, and if someone could please give me a reason for the lack of basic first aid, I would be most greatful.
And yes, this is the reason I don't watch ER and shows of that ilk.
Did anyone else laugh when the guy (was it the fiance?) say "Did someone call the police?" Presumably, they called 911 to get the ambulance. That means they also called the police, the fire station, and any and all rescue vehicles. That's how 911 works. 🙂 Or maybe I'm just weird. I'll go with that.
And Davis' secret/first time his life was saved/whatever? Tru's mother definately had something to do with that. I can't wait to tell my sister "I told you so"!

Yeah I remember thinking that too. Why was no one applying pressure to the wound, when the cause of death was bled to death? Why didn't they call 911 from the morgue? But yeah, I agree with all your points.
 
The emphasis was clearly more on reminding us that Tru is training to be a doctor rather than actual medical procedure, but still thought it worked well. Although, I can't think of a worse place to have a life saving operation than on a morgue slab. Poor woman.

Excellent episode. Confusing at times, but you really can't try to understand everything about the show and still enjoy it.

And am so loving the family emphasis...Tru, Harrison, and Meredith.
 
I set the tape to record the eppie as i now have class from six thirty to nine twenty and the tape ranout as Harrison is on his first of the to-do list. This is an eppie I really really wanted to see, and after reading everyones posts It's going to drive me insane not to see it. Does anyone know of any other way I can see this eppie? either online or via some really nice person who happened to record it?? (This is the last time I ask my mom to record something for me!!)

Of course, since the show seems to do the see-saw thing, there's no telling about next week...
 
please remind me never to go to twop forums...to see them bash this show..!! i mean okay it's not perfect but i like the show..!! and it annoys me they sit there and criticize..!!! ><
 
Yea the shows great, it has it's mistakes like in this episode. But it's still a great show. I love it, and this episode was especially good for me.
 
I love this episode i really wanted to know what Davis' was going to say to Tru but then Meredith had to ruin it! Cause she called and stuff at the end it was fine i loved when she got up the next morning well for her anyway and hugged Harrison...And this episode had a great suspence...
 
I was not bashing the show, i was just saying that this past week's episode had a lot of confusing parts. I love the show & have encouraged many people to watch it.

My uncle was shot pretty much point blank with a handgun, and it didn't go through him, it actually sort of bounced around in him like a pinball. So that part I'm willing to accept the stretch.

I thought the exact same thing about the blood loss, though. All in the name of advancing the story, right! It's a show about a girl that has dead people talk to her, so if I can accept that, I'm willing to let "death by bloodloss" slide! 😀
