hi just wanna get to know you all better, what type of music are you guys into? do you stick to one type or do yas like a mixture ????

:devil2: :hssevil:

I mainly listen to metal, but I do like to add a mixture into my daily listening. About the only form of music that I do not like or listen to is Rap!! Depends on my mood as to the type of music that I listen to, but Rap is not an option.

Rock and Metal. 🙂
Also Josh Groban but I dont know how to categorise his music

I mostly listen to rock, but also jazz. I like cool, 50s-60s era jazz. Also "alt country" (though I hate that term, yuck).

"alt.country" is a dreadful description but great music :)
I cannot possibly pick just one.
I love music in all forms, its one of the greatest artisic expressions of our society...well except the Spice Girls, granted they looked like 'Painted Ladies' but they were no art!!.....
I find my mood can take me to any level of music from a piece by Mozart to some folky Simon and Garfunkle down to Indie cool like Space.
I also love to hear classics given a dance update(not cover original vocals)

Don't tell me you prefer Mozart to Brahms.
I picked rock, but I listen to both rock and metal. I like a little classical once in a while, too. Doesn't get any more varied....kind of a one trick pony in that regard!

Hey, hey, hey mister! Don't you go hatin on the Spice Girls! They're the best thing to come out of England after the Beatles and Oasis! 😛

Except for the Spice Girls, I listen to pretty much everything. Music is such a great way to express oneself and there are so many great artists/bands out there that I can't just narrow it down to just one genre. I do however listen a lot to Hip Hop/Rap and a lot of lofi-indie-singersongwriter-ish stuff. The only music I can't stand much is metal, when it get's really heavy and you really can't hear if it's music of just noice of if the noice is music.
Oh and not to forget what in Sweden is called "dansband". Don't know the english word for it... But it's like ugly guys with bad haircuts in silver suits playing something that sounds like country meets 90's nightmare.

I listen to all kinds of stuff, but mostly I seem to be perpetually stuck in the late 80's/early 90's with grunge and hair-metal bands like Guns 'n' Roses, Whitesnake, Motley Crue, Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Nirvana, Chilli Peppers. That was the pinacle of western civilisation's musical achievements, so why go looking for something else?

That is true, mhm 🙂

I listen to all kinds of music, almost. I always have phases. Like a while ago I only listened to Black Eyed Peas, for a few month 😀
Right now I only listen to Tegan and Sara, completely love them, aw 😛

I had a period of about 6 months where all I listened to was Linkin Park (Hybrid Theory.) I don't know what that was all about, but I just....didn't....listen to anything else!

I love the Black Eyed Peas :)
OK, the grunge/alt rock era....I liked R.E.M., Jane's Addiction, the Pixies, the Breeders, the Sugarcubes, Chili Peppers, Camper Van Beethoven....Nirvana of course...

I can't really speak intelligently about classical music, lol. I guess I tend to enjoy the late classical, into the romantic era? Beethoven, Chopin especially. I like melancholy, melodic works for piano. Not really into elaborate symphonic music too much. Baroque music doesn't move me for some reason...it's too orderly, confident...something...

Jazz, I love Dave Brubeck, Chet Baker, Miles Davis somewhat...I like that jazz is a part of popular culture again"”just a little. Norah Jones (a little jazzy), Diana Krall, Michael Buble...

Norah Jones (a little jazzy)
Ahhhh, Norah Jones.....I love her! She's very nice, I met her at SXSW a couple years ago.....the year her debut album was released. I got her autograph, actually, but then one of my kids wrote all over it with a Sharpie.

I keep referring to my brother as Noel Gallagher cause he keeps wearing his collar up, has that silly bird-like spikes at the back (which looks like Noel's messiness IMO) and holding his hands behind himself.

Anywho, rock, or more specifically Indie in general. But then of course some random things from different genres. Gotta keep it interesting.

Mainly... i'm a country girl lol... I'm from Ohio but i love country now that i moved down south theres alot of people who like it its most of the stations and its grown more on me... but i love pretty much anything except metal and hard rock...

Pop and Rock..... I love listening to Pop/rock when Im in a good mood and natural relaxing music when im stressed out 🙂

My favorite types of music are R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, and Reggaeton. In Hip Hop and R&B I listen to Usher, Ciara, Beyonce, Jay Z, Bobby Valentino, Juelz Santanna, Black Eyed Peas, Bow Wow, and Omarion among others. Pop I listen to the classics like Nsync, Early Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and Backstreet Boys. In Reggaeton I like Daddy Yankee, Ivy Queen, Wisin and Yandel, DNY, Zion and Lennox, and Manny Montes.

Daddy Yankee is tha man!
IMO there are no bad styles of music just bad artists. I love it all provided it has some kind of soul 🙂 This is a conclusion I have reached because of my extreme age 😉 However, I reserve the right to turn into my parents and say "the rubbish you kids listen to today - it's not real music!" 😉

I do however draw the line at Slipknot et al and this nu-metal cobblers...somebody's elder sibling obviously left out their Black Sabbath and Public Enemy records together and it was a tad confusing for the poor l'il middle-class white boys 😉
