Wow! For a first attempt that's really good (much better than mine, for sure!). I like the idea for you have, and spaith is always of the good 😀. Also like the middle image a lot, the affect is really pretty, and the idea of it coming out from the center is cool. Just a couple things to keep in mind. 🙂

One, sometimes less is more. So when you're using a lot of different textures especially, it's usually an idea to either use less of them, or tie them all together somehow (with a caption or certain colour pallette, usually, but if you have anything else that's great too, just make sure to make that connection somehow to re-enforce your concept for the piece).

And two, be careful when using textures to not lose your basic photos in the process (the spike picture on the right has very pronounced "puzzle" textures, which is fine, but you lose a lot of his face, which looks a little bit awkaward).

Just a few suggestions, but really the best you can do right now is MORE! Lol, as cheesy as it sounds, practice really does make perfect, and you can only get better as you go along. You've got a great start, hope to see more outta ya soon!

thanks for the suggestions!
Good advice hon. 🙂

Just play around and have fun, try out different filters, effects, mess with brushes, layer opacity etc Get used to using the program itself. 🙂

Also, one of the best things I ever did was follow tutorials made by other digital artists on their websites......you can learn LOADS of stuff that way - I still look for new tutorials all the time & I'm always learnig how to do new things!

Another good tip is, when using effects, duplicate the layer you want the effect on (on the layer palette, right click & 'duplicate'), then on the top layer, apply your chosen effect, and then set that layer's blending mode to soft light, overlay, or screen, so the effect is more subtle - I add most of my effects like that. 🙂

Very nice!! I love them both! You have really good concepts (which is very important) - the Spike/Faith wall is very unique and the Light vs. Dark is ingenious! Keep em coming! 😀

Very good for your first attempts! Much better than mine that's for sure! But most definitely once you feel liek you know where everything in the program is by playing around with it tutorials are the biggest help! So keep making art!

Thats an excellent new piece, It's really interesting to see you develop your technique, This piece shows obvious improvements, Keep up the good job 🙂
