Aside from being a huge Buffy fan, I am also really into pinball machines. I grew up around them and I not only enjoy playing them, but I also love to work on them and fix them up. So it was only natural that my Buffy passion and pinball passion would come together some day. For years I have wanted to own a Buffy themed pinball machine. But seeing as they never made one and never will, I would have to take it upon myself and build my own.
Basically what I am doing is taking an existing pinball machine and redoing all of the artwork, sounds, as well as programming all new rule sets. In doing this I am also adding some special features that the original game did not have as well as some custom Buffy inspired add-ons.
I started this project at the end of last year and I am no where near done. Doing a project like this on is a HUGE undertaking. There is way too much information to post it all here and I don't want to bore you with any of the technical details. Now, if you're saying to yourself "Hey, I'd like to be bored with all that techy crap" , well you're in luck. You can visit my website at www.buffypinball.com for all the ins and outs of the build so far.
For those who do not, below are some pics of how it sits now and a little teaser video. I'd love to hear what you guys think about it and if you have any questions, feel free to ask! Also, if you have any good ideas for something that you think should be added to the game (a feature, mode, epic quote, etc.), I'd love to hear your thoughts!
