ok, i just watched the ep where the gang kick buffy outta the house for maybe the tenth time, and i noticed one small thing.
i noticed that dawn is the one who really forces buffy to go and i have a theory.
we all know that in the 2 previous seasons, buffy is dawn's idol, and the teenager always looks up to her older sister, so it confused me that dawn was the one to tell buffy that she couldn't stay in the house.
but then i remembered 'conversations with dead people'
joyce/the first told dawn that when the time comes, buffy wouldn't choose dawn, buffy wouldn't be with dawn, she'd be against her.
so, is dawn trying to get in there first, by not 'choosing' to stick by buffy, and standing AGAINST her?
sorry for rambling so much, but i'd really appriciate it if you could tell me if you agree or disagree.

It makes sense. I had never really pondered this major turn of events, with Dawn being the one to kick Buffy out. I've always just been so fuming mad that she was ever kicked out in the first place, that I never really focused on Dawn as the one who was the deliverer of the sentence.

I see some evidence in the fact that Dawn might have done it, because she was thinking about what was said to her in CWDP.

Nice theory.

when you've watched the ep so many times, like i have, you start to focus on the things you miss the first time, and this was something that occured to me. thanks for replying guys!! :smilieswi
