My First Comic (possible spoilers)

: erm :...so i went into the comic store today, to get my first ever comic.
I said ''have you got Buffy comics?''
He said ''No, as soon as we get them in they are sold out, they are popular''
So, i got After the fall issue's 4 and 7(its all they had letf)
Ive read issue 4 and i was astounded(not in a good way)

I read it in 5 minutes(are all comics this short?)
Angels human, dragons, flying horses, weird looking random creatures, Telepathic fish, Spike and Lorne are... Ahm...Lords???? Wes's back(does anyone ever stay dead?)
that stupid shark face guys back. and did i mention i resd it in 5 minutes?

are all s8 buffy and after the fall like this then?
 
Well, it'd probably make more sense if you read from issue #1, but I haven't read After the Fall yet (TFAW barely has any ATF comics that aren't super-expensive, special-edition types.)

But I can assure you that Buffy season 8 is fantastic. I admit, you can read them in five minutes, and they have some weird stuff that you probably wouldn't find in the show...for example, huge Slayer armies, skinless Warren, giant Dawn, evil Amy, and mega Willow (you might find that in the show, but her powers definitely wouldn't be exaggerated as much on a TV budget). And, as strange as those things sound, a lot of the new Slayers are great characters, skinless Warren and Amy are creepy (in a good way), and giant Dawn is hilarious. I'd at least give them a try.
 
I won't to start the "which is better" argument (pssst, it's Buffy 😉 I lied 🙂), so I'll simply say, yes they are different.

Im going to get them all anyway, i got to see how it turns out.
 
Yes comics are short when we are so used to television shows - it took me a while to get used to that too. The best tip about comics that i can pass on to you is to re-read each issue numerous times and look at the pictures closely because you'll often pick up lots of extra details. Persevere with ATF - it is really great and it will make much more sense after you've read it from #1.
 
1)shouldn't there be a spoiler alert or sth in this thread?
2)I find both comics really good,yes they're short but that's the way of comics(I think,never read any others..)
 
Well i read them again last night and im already wanting more, hmm, couple of little issues i wanna discuss
