Spike's Love
**Be kind, this is my first fic** These are lyrics from Hard To Say I'm Sorry by Chicago. I don't own anything except the idea. I also posted this at Buffy/Spike Central and several other sites. This is a fic about when Season 7 starts (and there are no real spoilers for season 7, just what I thought up at the time) and Buffy, Dawn, Willow, and Xander are at the Bronze. Only real spoilers are for "Two To Go" and "Grave". They all know Spike's back with a soul and Willow is back from rehab and is as good as new.

"So, Spike has a soul now?" Willow asked in shock.
"I guess. At least that's what Clem told me. I'm guessing that he wasn't supposed to tell me because he covered up his mouth and ran away." Buffy informed the gang.
"Why did he get a soul though? I figured that if were ever to do something like that, the chip would be the first to go."
"Maybe because he wanted to give Buffy someone she deserved. Someone worth loving." Dawn guessed.
"I don't think Spike is who anyone deserves. Especially after what he tried to do to Buffy." Xander stated his opinion.
Willow could feel the anger inside of Xander. "Xander, you wanna dance?" She asked to get his mind off of Spike.
"Sure Will." Xander said taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor.
"Do you miss him?" Dawn asked.
"Who? Spike? No! No. Um...maybe a little. Why?"
"Because he's by the door staring right at you."
"Nice try Dawn. I'm not gonna fall for that. Why would he come here?"
"Maybe to see you." his voice rang from behind Buffy.
"Hey Spike!" Dawn shouted as she hugged him.
"Hey Niblet." Spike said as he let go of her and looked back at Buffy.
Dawn knew they had to get together, for everyone's sake. "Um...I'm gonna go and get a drink. Be right back!" She said getting up and walking over to the counter to get some water.
"Hey Buffy." Spike greeted awkwardly.
"Hi Spike."
There was an awkward silence as the band finished one song and started another.
**Everybody needs a little time away
I heard her say, from each other.
Even lovers need a holiday
Far away, from each other.**
"Do you wanna dance?" Spike asked Buffy.
"Sure Spike. We can talk later."
Buffy got up and Spike led her to the dance floor.
**Hold me now, it's hard for me to say I'm sorry
I just want you to stay.**
The lyrics seemed too real for the both of them. They listened to the lyrics as they danced close.
**After all that we've been through.
I will make it up to you, I promise to.
And after all that's been said and done
You're just the part of me I can't let go**
Spike looked into Buffy's eyes. He had missed her so much.
"So, you have a soul now?"
"Yeah."
"Because of me."
"I'm sorry Buffy. For everything."
Buffy silenced him with her lips. He seemed extremely shocked but gave in and kissed her back.
**Couldn't stand to be kept away
Just for the day, from your body
Wouldn't wanna be swept away
Far away from the one that I love**
After the kiss was over, Buffy smiled.
"I'm sorry too Spike. For treating you so badly."
"It doesn't matter anymore Buffy. That was the past."
"Yeah."
**Hold me now, it's hard for me to say I'm sorry.
I just want you to know.**
"I still love you though." Spike blurted out. "This soul might make me feel guilty for killing and hurting people. But my feelings are still there. You might not love me but there's nothing anyone or anything can do to make me stop loving you."
**Hold me now, I really want to tell you I'm sorry
I could never let you go.**
"Spike." Buffy started. "I wasn't being honest with my feelings before you left."
**After all that we've been through.
I will make it up to you, I promise to.
And after all that's been said and done
You're just the part of me I can't let go**
Spike looked up in shock. 'Where's she getting at?' he asked in his mind.
"I told you that I didn't have feelings for you. But it took you going away and everything that happened while you were gone to prove to me that I did love you. I knew I did, I just didn't want to admit it. Maybe I was too embarrassed to admit it then. But I don't wanna hurt you again."
**After all that we've been through.
I will make it up to you, I promise to.
And after all that's been said and done
You're just the part of me I can't let go**
"I love you Spike." Buffy ended. She didn't know how he was gonna take it but she had to tell him. "And I missed you while you were gone."
"I missed you too Buffy. Are we a couple now?"
"Yeah, I guess we are."
**You're gonna be the lucky one**
Spike smiled happily and kissed her again. The song was over but they had just begun.
