My little one is here

BABY!!!!! Aww, I can't look anymore. Mine is 2, I want another little one!

Especially a girl with cute squishy cheeks!
*thinks about swiping baby*...
*thinks about 2AM feedings*

On second thought.....

Congrats!

Thanks everyone...I know I'm biased, but I too think she's beautiful.

Awww,she's so cute, congratulations 🙂

hey, and if you want we can give you name suggestions 😉

Right now, I'm not turning away name suggestions! We have a small list at the moment, but none of them are really standing out to me.

Ok, now I think I am getting broody again! Husband beware!! (He's told me I can have another labrador but NO MORE CHILDREN!)

She looks cute though, and that weight is MASSIVE!! I only had tiny tikes, at 6lb10 and 5lb13 (but she was 3 wks early)..... makes you kinda glad it was a c-section, huh?

The aftercare is often rubbish - that's the thing that lets the whole experience down, when you are sore, your stitches pull, the painkillers are wearing off and you can hardly move to go for a wee. The staff are over stretched, but good care makes a MASSIVE difference to how you feel.

Well done you... you have a lovely baby, and a family now!

How are those baby blues coming along..... been and gone yet???

I'm sure that better care would have made a big difference. The first night I was there, when I called to ask for pain relief the midwife told me that there was 24 patients and only 2 members of staff and only to call if I was desperate (which I was anyway) and not to call the buzzer unless an emergency.

The second days midwife wasn't any better either, when I told her my concern that I hadn't breastfed yet and could do with a bit of advice, she just pointed at herself and said to me "well I can't give you a personal demonstration can I?"
In the end my boyfriends mother had to help me, and she did a damn better job at giving me advice etc. than any midwife.

I was very down and distressed whilst in hospital, and the lack of support tainted the few days with my daughter -Perhaps that was the baby blues.
Now I'm home though I just feel relieved, and I can finally get on with bonding with my baby girl 🙂

She is perfect. Wonderfully beautiful! She looks so great. I am soooo happy for you!

Congratulations from Denmark

Complain. Seriously. That is utterly disgusting (and I'm trying not to go off on a militant breastfeeder rant - if I was in Manchester I'd personally swing for them, you would not believe how incandescent with rage I am). I'm really glad your boyfriend's mum helped, because research shows the first few days milk are crucial for baby, and crucial in getting the feeding established, not to mention the BONDING. This isn't the 1950's - they should be geared up for it.

You would have had a bit more difficulty because of the elective c-section anyway, as your hormones aren't in charge - you are playing catch up. and you are in pain. It's great to keep in mind the 'taint' on your first few days is the care and not the baby. PM me if you need to talk about it or need any help, as I have done some peer support work with new mums. Plus I'd like to know which hospital it was, as my s-in-law is haveing her baby in Manchester in Feb.

Good luck!

Okay, so names...

Christina?
Suzannah?
Rose?
Anna?
Mary?
Janine?

Just some suggestions. Of course you also have to see what works with your last name.

I like Sophie, Suzannah and Anna. They're all fairly traditional names which is nice too.

I have a name in mind at the moment which I like. I'm still unsure though, as I really want it to be the right name, and not just a whim

aww shes soo adorable, ive already seen her but still... shes sooo cute! even cuter in real life! blinking heavy aswell, both of mine where quite small! and that midwife was such a bitch, when i passed her on my way to see 'poppet' she just smirked at me and then again later on she nudged into my shoulder!

Ok, this may seem cliche, but I think she looks like a "Willow".

I like the name Willow, Kryptonite. I already have a cat of the same name though, so it's a no-no really.

We have, finally, decided upon a name though after 5 days of consideration and disagreements. Our final choice is Abigail Cara Williams. And unfortunately it wasn't so much of an ephiphany but an agreement. Abigail was Chris' favourite name and now when I look at her I can see my little Abi, so I let him have his own way - which he is reveling in.

Last picture (for now) I promise. Sleeping on mummys bed.

adorable name karma
Abigail is a beautiful name! She looks so happy! Aww bless her cotton socks!

She definitely looks like an Abigail now you've said her name, its a really sweet name and very traditional and modern all at once.

Once again congratulations Rebecca! 😀

Abigail Cara Williams.

So me being me this is the first think that comes to mind. Abigail = Mrs. Bartlet (from the tv-show west wing), Cara = Supergirl (I know it´s spelled Kara). Unless it´s pronounced Sara. But just so you don´t misunderstand me. I like the names. 🙂

Congrads! She is a cutie. I was about to throw a fit because of my late viewing and the damnable photobucket blocking/moving the image was denying me baby cuteness, but this page came through for the win!

I'm sure any wishes for happyness/yadda yadda can't trump what your allready feeling as a parent. The name is awsome, by the way.

Happy Parenting! 🙂
