jenny and joyce

It gives me shivers the way angelus setup the seduction scene with jenny's death cruel s.o.b

and joyce well to be honest i think the reason why that was so sad is because all of us have mothers that will eventully die (if they haven't already in whch case those thst have lost a parent can relate to buffy and dawn and hell even some of the scoobies) and for me thats scary not havin your mom around i think everyone's a lil scared of when they'll lose there mothers ya know?

I cried when Joyce died. I lost my mom in 2000 when I was 23. I can't imagine coming home and finding her dead on the couch. That would have been even more traumatic.

I think Buffy handled it better then I did. I barely even remember the weeks after--I was on complete autopilot, just trying to keep me and my daughter alive (she was 7 weeks old). And then I seemed to have to take care of my dad and brother (who was 21 and hadn't seen my mom in over a year when she died--he was a wreck).

The Jenny thing was just freaking creepy. Angelus is pure evil.

I lost my mom last year, in February of 07 so i could greatly relate when i rewatched this episode. and yeah, i can agree with how you felt JAJ, i was also on "Auto-pilot". this entire past year, even. it flew by and i feel like i accomplished nothing. Buffy was very strong in being able to move on (for the most part) and do what she had to, to care for Dawn.

I watched The Body this summer, and ironically the day after my friends nana died. It made me realise how amazing that episode really was and how truthful! I remember standing next to my friends dad (it was his mother who'd died) in silence and I could see him gulping back his emotion because he didn't want to cry in front of me, I remember hearing the clock tick so loudly and the episode The Body really shows that silence and the smallest sounds sound so loud.

I just watched Season 2 last week and Jenny's death still shocks me everytime I see it, it's definitely Angelus at his pure evil-est. It's actually kind creepy too, the music and Giles just walking up the stairs and then dropping the wine class. Definitely shiver-worthy

Jenny's death didn't do much to me...but the set up for Giles was just kind of weird. I was more distracted with why the police didn't consider Giles more of a suspect. Here's the girlfriend all dead IN his apartment, IN his bed, all these flowers and notes laying around, they hadn't been getting along all that great (surely if they questioned the other teachers at the school they'd have found that out) and yet it was just "come down and answer some questions" and then they sent him home.

Joyce, I just FROZE. And since I was watching it while taping off FX and they showed it on a Friday, I just kept rewinding and stayed frozen most of the weekend. I was actually totally confuddled when my sister watched it and described Joyce as "laying on the couch all funky" because when I first saw it at the end of the episode "I was made to love you" I knew she was dead immediately. I wanted to say, "WOULD YOU WATCH THE NEXT EPISODE ALREADY?!?!?!"

Well, I'm here among those, who can't watch 'The Body' without tears, or even avoiding watching it if possible. Though my Mom's still alive - Good Health to her and the blessings, but I lost Dad 5 years ago (of cancer too). That's just terrible thing to go through.. Extremelly painful.

About Jenny: I liked her a lot, despite her somewhat wickedness, but it was just creepy cruel death.

Joyce thing is much more worse, as it's too pretty common thing to happen... I try not to watch 'The Body' as often as other episodes.
