Just cause it's on the ribs or because of the person who did it? I've got one on my back that didn't hurt at all. Slightly uncomfortable on the doing, but I wouldn't say it was bad by any means

Moreso because it's a tattoo full stop. Just seems like a horribly painful process

The sides are an extremely tender place to ink. The top of the foot can be plenty painful too.

Fail. That's supposed to say uncomfortable on the spine. And I get what you're saying, that is a big tat to get all at once. I would think with a good artist with a light hand it shouldn't be horribly painful though. Guess it depends on your pain threshold too though.
 
The artist was great!!! Very detailed very talented. but I have sensitive skin so prob a Lil more painful than usual..I deal with pain well so I was still the whole time but inside I was crying hahaha
