Since I started my business I have been wanting to go to Mac (as the mac I use at home is old and slow) and have really been toying with the idea.

Thanks to Kali, I was going to just get a little dinky Mini, because I am a cheap turd, but she has shown me the error of my ways.

I now have a sweet Macbook Pro and my old mac I can retire, as well as this PC.

So, thanks Kali.. and thanks Bill Gates for creating Windows Vista and reminding my why Stevie is the Apple o' my eye.

I would be happy to recieve your donation of the old Mac, I promise to not get jiggy with harddrive and enjoy all the things you frequent (as we seem to have similar tastes) J/K. Congrads you lucky turd. (I want one)
Damned right! Mr Jobs is a god and don't you ever forget it!

But really... you couldn't have had a 17"? *sigh ..... bigger is ALWAYS better, and I should know as I have 2 of those 17" puppies, plus the 15" and a 23" Apple HD cinema display to play across, all at the same time. I love a bit of Mac porn.

I intend to see if it can be hooked up to my 52" hdtv like mah pc can.. then we can compare sizes!
The whole reason why....err....excuse I give for not getting too familiar with my PC is that I want a mac very bad.....They are suppose to be the shizznit for making movies and that sort of thing. I don't play games on my PC much anymore but when ever I see things from cool banners with gif's to Buffy scenes diced up and set to a music theme I say "man i wish i could do that"

One day i will on a Mac, my PC is a dinosaur...

have fun with it, buddy 🙂
(you really going to use it for Business)

I've actually been looking at going in the opposite directions with one of the little 8.5 inch screen models just because it would be lighter and more convenient to carry when I travel.

dude! I was setting on of those up for the owner of the comp. yesterday. They ARE nice, but I couldnt read a thing. You should really try to read email or such beforehand, it changed my views on them as far as being able to use on a continual basis.
OH SWEEET 😱
I'm currently still using a Windows laptop, with Vista and to be honest, after 6 months, I don't have much to complain about. But as soon as I have enough money together I will own a beautiful 17" MacBook. Or maybe even the MacBook Air. Ahh, sweet dreams 🙂
Have loads of fun with it! I envy you ^^

The air looks cool, I'm just afraid I'd put my finger through the darn thing trying to type. It screams I'm too breakable for your household!

I have always used both mac and pc for graphics and could never tell a difference; until Mac OS X came out. Then with Vista the difference actually became huge. Mac was always easier and faster, but now there really is little comparison. My home PC is "better" than my work Mac yet the work computer out performs the PC in every regard. It was not always this way with the PC and Mac though.. the worst part is the home PC is less than 6 months old. (but of course the home mac is an old G4)

I've heard the interface is much more easy to use on all the programs. I once had a friend list a if cars were PC's fact sheet..everyday before you turned off the engine it would ask you "are you sure" :)

Meh, I can be very carefull ^^ I'm a girl, I prefer looks over practicality. Although the Air does have really very nice stats: 1.8Ghz processor, good accu.. Only one USB port tho, which might become problematic, cos I like to have more than 120Gb memory (I know, I download films, which is bad) but I also like a normal mouse. Touchpads freak me out. Well first I need to get 2000€, then we'll see 😛

I'd step on it or my kids would get it. I'm not so destructive as clumsy. :)

Firewire is far superior to USB as far as speed and transfer of data. It also reads P2P vs Master/slave
Only one USB port tho,

But you can daisy chain the heck out of firewire harddrives. You dont reasonably need more than one USB port if you get any sort of hubbage going on either. The hub is your friend! Trust the hub. Trust the hub! LOOOOOVE the hub.
