I don't know if this is the right place to post this so forgive me if it isn't.

For a while now I've been making up my own poems. I never really wrote them down and decided to now.

I suppose a lot of people will think of it as a Dark poem so...You may wanna take caution while you read any of my Poems because most of the stuff i write about isn't that happy.

Okay here goes

I just wrote this it's about the arguments my Parents have and have had.

Sharp Tongues

Suddenly absent in this dark place.
Knowing a one or two much familiar face.
Hurts too much to just sting.
The pain un-compared to that of the ones it’s aimed.
Words turn to Iced Daggers as they hit the air.
Striking the heart of which they have targeted.
Yet which they have not.

Unable to stop the flow of these words.
Unable to stop the blood simmering to a boil.
Feeling helpless enough to shed tears.
Yet not allowing so because of my pride.
Often unwillingly letting the tears of my own spill.
Mind whirring with thoughts that shall not be though.

Hoping tomorrow will be a brighter day.
With more possibilities and an obvious amount to say.
Wishing Well
Wanting Freedom
Finding just out of reach.
Never forgetting the worst of Times.
Remembering fondly the good.
Never ending unwishful thinking of emotions that will come.

Abandoned, Absent, Alone.

Okay try not to be too cruel.

Thank you for reading though and any feedback is appreciated.

I enjoyed reading your poem.

I liked that it had darkness but that you hope that tomorrow will be brighter, it's always a good thing to hold onto hope.

Please post more so that I can enjoy them.

Okay Here's one i wrote one the morning of my Nan's funeral that i just tweaked a bit.

Ode to the Grandmother.

Ever so clear,
Wishing you we're here,
With us once again,
But instead your
Watching over,
Flying high,
Blessing us now,
From your place peacefully in the sky.

Those are great wiccanslayer, I envy people who can actually write poetry, I don't do so well with writing so I've never got around to one.

This about a really bad break up I had. I was really in love with this girl. It was from a couple years ago

How I Used to Be

Do you know how I used to be?
I used to believe that women...
They deserved to be loved and honored and cherished
That is how I used to be

I used to believe that a woman
Deserved my heart, my soul, my all
That was before I met you
That is how I used to be

I was warm, affectionate, caring, and gentle
I gave that to you because you were delicate and sweet
I loved you and I wasn't afraid to say it
That is how I used to be

I went out of my way to make you smile
It made me happy to see you happy
I thought you deserved the world from me
That is how I used to be

I thought that being a good man was enough
That if you said you love me then you meant it
I said it and meant it and I promised to never hurt you
That is how I used to be

No! That is not me anymore
I realized that we need to earn each other
I have to earn your body and you have to earn my soul
No one deserves the way I used to be

When it was over I longed
I longed for things to be how they used to be

But I've learned and I've grown
I'm a man now, not how I used to be

I stand tall and my heart is strong
I'm not like I used to be

You hurt me, you stepped on me, and you left me
For that I thank you because I'm not what I used to be

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who's the fairest of them all?
SOCKS!

(I'm not kidding!)

Poetry is Not for Poets

I am not a poet
People just claim I am
My poems say I am
but me,
I just love words
Words like elation, inspiration,
and condemnation
I may seem overzealous
But I just love rhyme and rhythm
alliteration and idiom
My pen kisses similies so deeply
metaphores get jealous
I'm not a poetry man
I'm just a syllable fan
The pen is my brush
Words are my paint
Poems are my art
I'm not a poet
I just love words
from finish to start

Those are better than mine! Damn!

The first time
The first words
Our first song
I will never forget
The first kiss
The unforgetable kiss
When darkness fell
The world stood still

Should I Fall

Should I fall
Don't you turn and look back
Don't you shed a tear
I fell because I was not strong
So don't you cry
Should I fall

Should I fall
You keep running
Don't you worry about me
Cause the obstacles keep on coming
Stay the course you all
It was my fault not yours
Should I fall

Should I fall
Know that I love you
And my memory is just going to hurt
So forget that you knew me
But it was my pleasure to know you all
But don't you stop don't you dare
Should I fall

I've moved this thread to the Watchers' Diaries because I thought it would feel more at home with the other writers' threads. Some good efforts guys, keep it up 🙂

sacrifice

I thought you left
with the light and
these broken arms
holding dawn
holding dawn
over my head
and still you
are still here you
are here

I can feel your breath

on my lips the touch
your kiss
beckoning me to come under
anew..
I am afraid
afraid I need you

crimson and steel
landscapes
& nightmares
your image
racing
thru my blood

I will claw you out
I will cut you out
validate
& eradicate
steal my dawn anew
sealed-
fated to you

'tis only
only meat for the beast
this tender call
a sweet release

I can feel your breath

Some Haikus

The Race

Waters swiftly flow
More rapid than the wind blows
A race never won

The Leviathan

Behemoth hidden
Below the glassy surface
His wonders untold

Old Ones

Cliffs old stone faces
Wear time as nature's promise
To be eternal

Coons

Glassy eyed burglars
Hidden behind emerald wood
Scheming tiny schemes

Epiphany: Women

Oh! I get it, you
Want me to do what you would
Do if you were me

Dangerous Depths

Still waters ripple
Glistening and beautiful
Quiet as the grave

What women want

We want you to do
what we want
We want you to do
what we don't know we want
But it's quite certain
no matter what you do
It's not what we want

This was an old one I wrote for my cousins funeral, probably the toughest public speaking thing I've ever done. I got through it without blathering too much, I guess it was understood (?)
*******************

I've walked alone in quite thought, Upon a forest path I've tread

To see the rising of the sun, through dew soaked leaves of trees ahead.

And though I walk this path alone, I feel your presence closely near

For in my heart you have a home, my friend now gone...my friend still here.

Though time now seperates us both, I'll never leave our past behind

The jokes and laughter that we've shared, their echos keep time in my mind.

So, till the angels call me home, I'll keep you close and say goodbye,

One day will talk and laugh again where sunsets light the dimming sky.

********************well thats it. It's pretty bad, but its the one poem I've written that I don't mind sharing with others. The other one will be locked tight to protect the community and small animals.

Precious

Blind to all around him

Adventure not in his conscious nature

Gentle is as gentle does

Gems not important to this burglar

In his hole, he hides

No one can beat the riddler

Seven groups of double riding through the night

Poppycock

Flitting through the air

Appluase brings salvation

Enter at the second star on the right

Rufio the King

In his path danger follows

Exit back to reality

Safety is so boring

RUFI-O RUFI-O :D
Gliding through life
Not aware anymore
Scared for life
Never forget
Feels empty and low
Can't talk, nobody knows
I'm alone, my ride
But one day...
I'll stop gliding
get back in the game
get back at you
and get it over
you touched what wouldn't be
And scared for life
