this thread involves the real world...

whenever you introduce yourself to a new person...use a fake name....simple as that....

but the real poetry will be your choice of the new name....if you can get away with a ridiculous name...more power to you...

tell your names you got away with here...as well as the reaction of the person...

must have happened...not going to happen...

I've done that a lot in the past...lol...the only name I actually remember using was Cassandra...guy believed it...I slithered out of the situation as fast as I could being the freak magnet that I am...😛 I swear, I need some kind of psycho repellant...How 'bout you SG? You have this bad habit of not answering your own questions...naughty boy...
 
I was pretending to be Maggie ,a girl from Englad for at least 2 weeks.My friend told some of her classmates I'm her friend from international exchange and I'm staying with her...THEY BOUGHT IT!!!
 
well, nothing to do w/ names, but we once convinced a bunch of people that my friends who are triplets were not at all related. They're friends that just happened to look alike and everyone believed it. (btw: they look identical, we had a good laugh on that one for awhile)

But sounds interesting enough, I'm game 😀 *runs off to think of some really great name
 
LOL, I managed a pizza place for 2 years, I hired one csr, (phone guy) and told him that my name was George and like 2 months later I heard some one calling for George over and over again, knowing I did not have a George working at my store I began to wonder, turns out the guy thought my name was George for all that time, LOL, it was kinda funny.
 
Not very original, but at work, I don't like to put my own name on my name tag, so I have a habit of using buffy names, for example, Lately my name tag has said Kennedy, not 'cause I like Kennedy, just the name.... Any way, it's all funny til you get that one customer who insits on addressing you by your name, like your'e friends of something. When you don't answer, they get kind of annoyed.

so far i've gotten away with ty in half my classes at school....so...to turn it up a notch...i'm going to say my name is faith....pull a kindred name yall....
 
i don't get it....You mean in real life right? Well once i was like 11 and i was at the mall and this kid who was 12 asked me for my phone # and i gave it to him and sent him away thinking my name was Janeiva!(inside joke between me and kelsea, my friend)

i was on msn and my friend added me to her convo and she pretended to be michelle trachtenbergs sis and i was smg and we basically went from there! that girl was kinda kooky! lol
 
Yeah SG, cast members could be everywhere. So no being mean to them you lot...

I've never given anyone a false name (that I can recall) but I have pretended not to be me in the past - at work, phone ringing itself off the hook, paper stacked up high - Enquirer: "Can I speak to Brian(me btw), please?" Me: "No he's not at his desk at the moment. Can I get him to ring you later ?"

I do remember that we used to get a guy coming in occasionally to work who always called me Jim for some reason. I never disabused him of that notion...Kinda like that ep of "Friends" where some guy at work thinks Chandler is called something else or, for Brits only, "Only Fools and Horses" when Trigger calls Rodney "Dave"...

I have never done that before! LOL@ your expereinces! I had a girlfriend in high school that referred to herself as Cathy Phelps. I have no idea where she got that from! She also introduced herself as Batgirl often.

My ex used to want to change his name to something different every other month it seemed. Sometimes when he would call in for pickup he would give the name Theodric Dudustin. He would even insist I call him Theo. Or Frank Francis...who knows, huh? Weird-o!
 
My favorite had to be Gigli right after the bomb movie came out. People would always say "hey, like the movie", then I'd say "people always say that now and its really annoying", then they all felt guilty. hahaha. I did it for about 2 weeks with everyone I met. About a month ago, I ran into someone who called me that. hehe. Also, I like saying my name's Adama, cause its sweet. 😉
 
Well I was raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, and when my friends and I used to go to peoples doors, We would be Nehamiah, and Obadiah. Sometimes we would pretend to be mormons, hehe i guess that's just more innapropriate blake humor.

My first name is Matthew, and people always ask me what my middle name is, I tell them Matthew, I've had people thinking my name was Matthew Matthew Duvall for months. And when they ask me why my Parents named me Matthew Matthew, I just say, that in the late 70's my mom and dad were big stoners, and that when I was born my mom was on a massive acid trip and accidently wrote Matthew twice on my birth certificate.
 
Like soulgasm was saying he could be DB ive always wondered weather anyone like DB or SMG etc read these boards, just to see what people are saying about them, and they think hey maybe i'll have a little fun with these guys...although im sure there to busy but how does anyone know that im not SMG or even DB!!! ???

Anyway back to the thread, i often get told i look like Anna Kournikova (a tennis player just incase you dont know her) so once this guy came up to me and asked me for my autograph and to have a picture taken i couldnt help myself so i signed the autograph etc i felt really guilty afterwards though 😀
