Hi

As i have just changed my name from Foi to NIX i wondered;

how many people out there have had name changes?
why did you do it?
what were your old names?

i've never changed my name here, but Lyri wasn't the name i wanted to register with.
as some of you may or may not know, my real name is Aly, and i used Aly on another Angel board me and Al and a few others were members of. but when i got here, Aly was taken, and i really hate putting numbers or symbols in my username, so i used Lyri, which i thought i had created as a nickname for Illyria, but it was actually Lorne who made it up! lol
but now that i'm Lyri, i would never want to change. i love my username, and i use it pretty much anywhere i go online. it's close to my name, seeing as it's the last two letters of my real name, and 'R' is the first letter of my middle name, and it's a reference to the Angelverse that not many people get right away. 😀

When I first registered here, I was VisionBoy. I left for a few months came back and made another account as VisionGuy. Then BuffySummers combined my accounts and here I am.

I was cookie_dough first when I first came here, but someone else already had that name so it was a bit confused, so then I came up with this name that I use everwhere now.

Oh how confusing. When I just read your post in Raiden I had no idea who you were, heh..

When people change their names they become a new person in my mind, 'cause I have a crappy memory...

I never changed my name, but for a while I was considering changing it to some character's name.. To make it more Buffy related. But yeah, I am eponinethen everywhere else so, it would just be confusing to not be eponinethen 🙂

Mine was Crushed Dead Boone, it was too long and I was getting tired of it. And I like the name Randy Giles, plus it was Buffy-related, so I changed it.

I like my name and I use it everywhere, but I've always wanted to change it to something Buffy or Angel related. Just for this board, at least.....I can't think of one I like, tho, so I'm still stuck with Miffed67.

Thinking about changing my name to 'Alex' because it's my actual name, but I guess I like 'kanga'.
I've used the name kanga since I was 16 or 17 on the internet.. kinda got used to it. Originally it was because people used to call me that because I was an Aussie in American chat rooms, bit lame, but hey I was 16 😛

I registered as Summers Blood as I love that quote from Buffy, "It's Summers Blood, it's just like mine." and I didn't want to follow the crowds and go for something like Buffy or Spike etc etc. It was original and it's grown on me. I don't think i could be anyone other than Summers Blood on here!

Other people's name changes confuse me (I still call Al DDLM) so I couldn't cope with one of my own!

My name has always been Mesektet Ra. Always always. The name came to me when I joined my first message board [Mythical Boards FTFW]. I was thinking, "How can I have a name that fits who I am?" Well, I love ancient Egypt and the Buffy/Angelverse, so Mesektet was kind of a given. I feel like it's unique and it suits me. I don't really want to change it. I'm Mesektet or some variety thereof everywhere else I'm registered.

i was akasha_sxe, Akasha, Princess of the Universe (waaaay too long for my taste) and now Kryptonite. i probably had others that ive forgotten. i never really found a username that i liked that fit me but now im Kryptonite everywhere

Mine was Wolf til last Mayish. I loved Wolf but I changed it to Wicked on another forum (I had reasons I felt I had to change it there) and grew to love it so I changed it here. Youd be amazed at the amount of people that still miss my name and still call me Wolf. Even people who know me in person 😛

So...I should just change my name to 'I Love James Marsters'...or 'I Love David Boreanaz,' huh? LOL!!!

I'd really like to be something like....Angel...or Liam....maybe? But different, not just 'Angel.' You know? I just can't think of anything good.

hey, i remember akasha_sxe already being around when i first joined the boards! see, it always confused me how people mentioned knowing you from the boards for so long, cause i kept thinking you were newbies, and now i know that you were around! :silly: what a big revelation to oblivious me! 😀

i might change my name, i might not. id have to think of something really cool to change it to. 🙂
