Tony-Award winning actress, Natasha Richardson, dies after a seemingly minor incident at a ski resort. She fell on the bunny slope when she wasn't wearing her helmet and was then escorted to her hotel room. Feeling fine until an hour later, she complained of a major headache and was rushed to the nearest hospital. It was announced that she was brain dead two nights ago, and announced that she was dead last night at around 8:00 PM. Her husband, Liam Neeson, her two sons, sister Joely Richardson, and mother Vanessa Redgrave are in mourning at this time, and ask to be left alone.

Awwh, that is horrible! I read it on the BBC page today 🙁

I must say, I don't really know her, but Liam Neeson's a good guy. I really feel sorry for them.
 
That is so horribly sad. 🙁 She was a really great actress in everything I saw her in... Such a tragedy for her family. 🙁
 
I heard about this yesterday! SO sad, I really liked her, always have. Must be just awful for Liam Neeson and their sons (I think they're teenagers now?) My prayers for them all.....
 
This is really sad. I am a huge Liam Neeson fan. And have seen Natasha interviewed many times with him. They seem like a lovely family. And her, a very elegant, gracious woman. Such sad news. She did a lot of great charity work. She will be remembered fondly. And of course, she was a great actress.
 
Tragic awful news a big shock, young and talented, sadder thing is if she had survived she would have had brain damaged so there was no good way to come out of this, she will be fondly remembered.
 
Very sad. 🙁 And really scary, how such a small injury to the head can be so devastating.
 
That's so sad! I always new who she was because i grew up with The Parent Trap being my favourite film for many years, must have watched it a million times over.She was such a talented actress. I couldn't believe it. She got up and was fine, the medics thought that there was absolutely nothing wrong with her when they examined her at the scene, and just three days later she's died...it's just awful 🙁
 
I couldn't believe this when I read the report this morning. There was a real sense of sdaness amongst people in college today when it was mentioned. They seemed like such lovely couple. My heart goes out to Liam Neeson and their two boys.
 
I completley forgot she was in Parent Trap but when Inside Edition showed a clip of that movie and it was the mom who died I was so sad cause I love the parent trap and the characters + she was so sweet.

Awww - I was outside the Shaftsbury Theatre (currently playing Hairspray) at 7:30pm in Londons West End as they observed a 2 minute light dimming in honour.

Not many people noticed it, but I, along with friends stood for the two minutes, I even took my hat off, and saw a few others doing the same.

Was a nice thing to see, people sharing a moment like that, even though it was for a sad reason.
 
Very sad, beautiful woman and too young to die. I read topics at Imdb where they are questioning her "fame" and "importance" just because she wasn't as much in spotlight as Angelina Jolie, for example. Very sad those topics.
Watching "The Parent Trap" won't be the same anymore.
 
I saw this on the news. She was still young. It's sad that her life ended because she hit her head. They said it's more common than we didn't. I had no idea.
 
Very, very sad.
Don't mean to sound crass but head injuries need to be looked at quickly, no matter how minor they may seem.
