Need Faith info

In one commentary, I believe Joss Whedon implied that she was younger than Buffy, but never went further into the explaination. 🙂
 
oh yeah, the younger part is true, she was like 16 or something when she arrived to Sunnydale in the 3th season. But nothing more about it, i think that was Joss' idea, you know, the dark character, the dark slayer
 
I've always speculated that her last name is Winters. I say this because Faith has been portrayed as sort of a direct opposite of Buffy. Since winter is an opposite of summer, and Buffy's last name is Summers, wouldn't it be ironic if Faith's last name turned out to be Winters?
 
faith winter and buffy summers, that would be cool! i think that faiths younger than buffy.... i think it's cool with the mistery! it's faith! the dark mysterious slayer!
 
I don't think that Faith can be that much older or younger in either way from buffy. In 'Faith, hope and Trick' she talks about how she might've been said about dropping out of high school if she had friends like Willow and xander so If she dropped out that could make her only a year or two younger than buffy or the same age. Or maybe she couldve left ages ago. damn. I dunno
 
I have a quote from Faith's Solace that pertains to faiths last name, and it is believed that when faith showed up she was 16. That's the going theory. (Faith's Solace is a really great Faith site btw, I will post a link)

"One last thing. Always note numbers on a characters T-shirt, et al. There have been many times that Buffy has worn something with a '2' on it. This goes to the alphabet (obviously) and a characters initials. Buffy does wear the occasional '26'. This is to let Faith mirror her, because Faith was always meant to be 'Buffy's opposite number (so to speak) Taken literally in this case. If you note Five By Five (1st season 'Angel') you'll see Faith wearing the number '62'. Clearly, 'F' is the 6th letter of the alphabet. The '2' or 'B' is one of two things. It's a clue to the fact she is a contrast to Buffy. However, due to the fact that Faith has no last name, making her 'adoptable' by viewers who'd very much love to care for Faith, there's a small chance the '2' indicates her last name. "

Is this speculation or really what someone from the show (joss, eliza or any other cast/crew) how definate is it that her last name begins with a b?
 
Maybe the writers never created a last name, thus, she doesn't have a last name. The age of a character(except for vamps) is always close to the age of its actor in BUFFY and ANGEL.

Not always, cause Nick is like 32 and Xander was 22 the last time we saw him, same as Aly, she like 29 or so, and Willow is also 22.

But everything seems to point at the fact that Faith is like 2 years younger than the rest of the Scooby Gang
 
yeah i think shes 20 now but wait wats the age you have to be to go in juveinelle hall? that could solve it for us!
yeah i just found out you have to be under 18 to get in juveinile hall faith did not go there and if she was 16 when she showed up she wouldve gone there, soooo my conclusion is that faith is older than buffy so she is probably 23-24 right now i got it!!!! im soooooooo smart *numfars dance of joy*
 
The thing is, the calling for the slayer is when they are like 15 or 16, so when she was called in the third season she should be that old

I don't know if it's the good place to post this thread, but I didn't know where else I could post it, so here we go.
I'm writing a kind of fanfic (posted in this board) and it's connected to Faith, but there is one problem :

I didn't watch S3 for so long, and I need to have informations on Faith to make this story credible.
So, I'm gathering info from Faith's site, like Faith Solace, but I wanted to ask you some things that I don't find in there.

Do anyone know when Faith became bad in S3 ? I know it's after Christmas but I'm not sure bout which month or period.

When does Faith go out of her coma in S4 ? I know it's around end of the 1999's or beginning of 2000's, but when exactly ?

If reading the story you notice something wrong in what I wrote, or if you think I should be aware about something, plz let me know, it'll help me a lot.
I'll probably ask for other questions after, when I'll need it, I just hope you could help me.

Depends on what definition of becoming bad you use. She killed a man in 3.14 "Bad Girls" of which the original air date was Tue, 09 Feb, 99. But she didn't join the mayor untill 3.17 "Enemies" of which the original air date was Tue, 16 Mar, 99

She awoke in episode 4.15 "This Year's Girl", of which the original air date was Tue, 22 Feb, 20.
