Question Need to find a book

Hey all

I need to find a Buffy book.

It featured a sub-story of Buffy trying to trace someone down, and she sent to bug their phone, but disovered a PI had already done it

The PI knew about Buffy and Angel (Said something like helping out a Slayer and Vampire with a soul)

Anyone got any ideas?
