Netflix Daredevil Canceled

Netflix's Marvel roster continues to shrink.

The streaming giant has canceled Daredevil — the first of its Marvel shows to premiere on the platform — after three seasons. The drama starring Charlie Cox is the third Marvel series to be canceled at Netflix in recent weeks, joining Iron Fist and Luke Cage. Only Jessica Jones and The Punisher remain on Netflix.

Wont be much longer until they are gone.

Disney is pulling all of their IP from other online streamers as they are prepping to launch their own service.

I don't know. From the way it sounds they will be limited run seasons; between 4-6 episodes a season, that may affect some of the decisions.

Have nothing invested in this one way or the other. I know Daredevil is one of the best reviewed Superhero show. At least with their being just three seasons it will be easy for me to catch up with it. From what I saw of The Punisher it was god awful so that can go too! Jessica I would like to stick around awhile or maybe get picked up by someone else.

Pity but it fits the pattern. Just finished watching S3- a marked improvement over S2- and I hope it gets to continue with these characters, but they need to switch up the format. The 13 episode runs were getting tired.

I hope Jessica Jones follows soon so we can keep all The Defenders together.

Not unexpected but still sad. It's the best superhero show that I have ever seen and I probably prefer it over any superhero movie that isn't The Dark Knight. My fingers are crossed for continuing it on Disney's streaming service, but I thought I heard that was for family content.

I am pretty sure they will take them off at some point. Netflix has to pay a licensing fee to use them - even though they are co-produced by Netfilx - and I can't imagine, long term, they would want to pay the fee for just a few seasons of the shows. Especially considering if someone tunes into Netflix, watches and likes the show, and wants to continue watching it. It just sends more Netflix users to Disney.
