Netflix Drops Whedonverse Shows

I've never used Netflix, and I no longer use any other rental service, but there are several completely legal sites on the internet that feature all of Whedon's series and tons of others. All of the networks have web sites, and there are others, like Hulu that are, I say again, completely legal to watch. As for the disc sets, you can buy them, used in like new condition, on Ebay or Amazon, for a fraction of the original cost. I bought the complete six season set of "Highlander," plus "Highlander: The Raven" off of Ebay a couple of years ago for $25 and free shipping.

So, to hell with Netflix.
 
The Buffy boxed set I bought on Amazon was a heckuvalot cheaper than anywhere else I looked, including Ebay. It came out to $10/season, you just can't beat that!
 
Oh God! Noooo!!! I have all the BtVS seasons on dvd, but I was gonna start watching Angel! Stupid Netflix!!!!!
 
I agree with Fake Shemp in the whole wondering why they have been dropped but at the same time I have all of Buffy and Angel on dvd so if i want to watch any of them i just pop the dvd on.
 
My dad disabled netflix and won't put it back up until the first. I wish I could see what you guys are talking about with the warning

I have sad news.....

I just called Netflix and talked to a human being. The news is correct. They are set to be removed on April 1. I was so sad I forgot to ask if today is the last day, or if tomorrow is the last day. BTW, I just asked about BtVS and Angel.

Please respect my privacy and let me and my family mourn in peace. 🙁

I'm so upset my dad cancled our subscription for the last few weeks. It's going to suck, but I'm going to have to go back to watching on Project Free TV. 🙁
 
I'm currently on 3.03 of Buffy, and so far it's available. Thinking this won't take effect until later today? Either way, I have no idea how to watch Buffy now. Lol Guess I'll have to wait till I get enough money to buy the entire series on DVD.

Does your subscription with Netflix include DVD rentals? Because they will probably be still available that way.
 
Yeah but it's my brothers Netflix account. So I don't really receive the DVDs, he does. He's got a lot of DVD's on his Queue atm. So it kind of sucks. =( Wonder if my local library has Buffy. I should look that up.

Whedonesque just posted that the shows were gone for less than a day and now they're back because netflix has extended it's deal with Fox. Victory.

Omg. I about flipped out when I saw Buffy was available for instant play on my brothers Netflix. At first I thought I was just seeing things, but when I clicked on season 1, it instantly played and I knew I wasn't seeing things.

I love you again Netflix <3

Oh and yay, Glee. Saw it pop up as one of the new additions.
