I live in utah. And yes Utah is well known for it's "mormonism." Please... Now don't be offended any one out there because I am mormon, but sometimes it is just rediculous. So this past weekend in our state paper (The Salt Lake Tribune) In their religous section, they had buffy. I was like "Hey... Buffy... Yay..." Boy was I wrong see cause I didn't realize it was in the religous section. So I am reading it, and they kept talking about how so many mormons viewed the occult as devillish, or ghoulish... etc. But This one reporter was so open minded that she figured that the show was half bad, that just because there is lots of demon worship and such doesn't make it a dark show. Oh by the by that was me being sarcastic! "The Audasity, The Nerve... Who does she think she is!" I hate that section! So please never mix my slayer with your sins!

Yes that was a ramble, but it sure does feel good to get that off of my chest!

I've seen SLC Punk, lots of talk of Mormonism there! 🙂

The thing is...alot of people don't realize that BtVS is so much more than just a show about a girl who slays lots of nasties. There are so many lessons to be learned, the characters get put into so many situations we can relate with.

My advice, just chalk it up to ignorance and shrug it off!

It is a religeon based on the beiefe that Jesus came to the Americas before the white man to minister to the Natives. They have a suplimentry bible called the Book of Mormon, that details some of those events and other stories. The Mormons believe the body is a temple to God, as such you shouldn't do anything to defile the temple (peircings, tatoos, smoking, drinking, caffeine, etc.)
I am from Mesa, AZ which has a strong Mormon population and a Mormon Temple.
