Aug. 7 - Day 7: Most heartbreaking Bangel scene

The one where Angel realizes he is losing his soul and what it all means for him, Buffy, and all of Sunnydale. He and Buffy are never the same again. The innocence has been stripped away and replacing it is the knowledge that they can't be the way they used to be again.
 
Day 7 ~ Most Heartbreaking Bangel Scene?
The first scenes that come to mind are the end of "Becoming", and the end of "I Will Remember You". But then I remember Angel kissing Buffy and then throwing her into the wall in "Innocence", and my heart breaks just as much. “Dream on, schoolgirl. Your boyfriend is dead.” 🙁

Let's start from..... the beginning 😉 I'm so in late for this.

Day 1: When did you first become a Bangel fan ?

Hard to say I do not have a good memory. I was very young when I first watched the series, I was 8 years old, and I do not even remember the first episode I saw, so when I became Bangel I have no clue. Maybe from the beginning but that's not saying so much because I was 8 and 8 years old me liked everything in the show, especially the battles. Teenager me had a period Bangel with posters everywhere on the wall of my bedroom, so I guess I was already invested in their relationship. I do remember the episode "Angel" have always had an impact on me because I was intrigued by this misterious guy and his bond with Buffy. I suppose I was for them the moment theirs story really began, so I'm going with "Angel". Everything is so emotional between them in that episode, I can't get over the looks, the kiss and how hot they both are. And this is one of my favorite kiss on all the show, including all the relationship.

Day 2: Most heart-melting/romantic Bangel scene ?

Originality is dead sorry but I can't not to go with "The Prom". Come on if this scene does not heat your heart you clearly have issues.

Day 3: Favorite lighthearted/funny Bangel moment ?

"Yoko Factor"
The moments between them in "Yoko Factor" are funny for me. But I'm not a hater of Riley and I think Angel acted like a kid but damn he makes me laugh. I find him so much more cute when he is immature and jealous like that. It gives him a lot more charm. Look at his smile, he is so pretty. You know you love someone when you laugh even when you know he is acting like a stupid guy.


Day 4: What music from the shows do you love the most for Bangel? (This can be score - like "Close Your Eyes" - or a song used for a scene - like "I'll Remember You" or both!) ?

It's not a music specifically used for Bangel but we can hear a little of this music in their scene on "Forever" and I find this song so beautiful and sad at the same time. It's perfectly fill the scene or the episode. Thomas Wanker did a great job and I think he hasn't the gratitude he should have, everyone is on Joss Whedon and that's ok he did some of the best songs on the show, but really just for this one Thomas Wanker shoud be more popular. Of course I didn't find the original, but this is a remake and I think this is extremely identical.



Day 5: Song from anywhere that you love the most for Bangel? (Any song by any artist ever! Share lyrics/vids if available!) ?

Day 6: Favorite setting/location for a Bangel scene ?

Mostly because I feel like this is their home. So many things happened to them in this place, so many tears shed because of the misery and smiles / laughter given because of all the hapiness. I feel like this is the symbolic representation of their story. This place define them, who they were, what was their relationship !


Day 7: Most heartbreaking Bangel scene ?


I feel like if you ask me tomorrow I will go with "I Will Remember You" or "Becoming" but I watched "Amends" because of Van's reaction to it today and I'm still so not over it, still devastated so this is my choice.

WOW, there are so many great picks for this one.
IWRY- Actually puts me into to tears anytime I watch it. Like @MrsEssmich mentioned, Buffy saying she'll never forget and then it flashes to her saying "Given enough time we should be able to.." Angel says "Forget" . OUCH that hurts me everytime.

But the Amends scene is quite heartbreaking
Angel "Am I a thing worth saving? Am I a righteous man? The world wants me gone."
Buffy " What about me? I love you so much. And I tried to make you go away. I killed you and it didn't help. And I hate it. I hate that it's so hard and you can hurt me so much. I know everything that you did, because you did it to me. God, I wish that I wished you dead. I don't. I can't"
 
I know I already posted, but I think an honorable mention for most heartbreaking Bangel scene should go to Graduation Day when Angel tells her he is just going to leave and not say goodbye. Buffy puts her hand up for im to stop talking because it is just too much.
Then at the end of the fight they look for each to make sure they both got out alive and safe. They share a long look as their goodbye and Angel disappears into the smoke.
This scene makes my stomach drop. Their looks say it all, without any words being said. That has to be one of the most heartbreaking goodbyes- not being able to tell the person what you need to say because you know it will just make it harder.
 
Day 7 ~ Most Heartbreaking Bangel Scene?
The end of an era, where we'd had Angel with us for the first half of the show, and now he leaves, where Buffy doesn't know where he'll go, or if she'd ever see him again. The first guy she ever loved, and they'd overcome so many things together only for it to end here (far as they knew)

The editing, the song choice, the scene selection, etc. is all really well done!

Nothing much to comment here because I think a number of us are familiar with this one 🙂

Like I said there are soo many wonderful vids. I got 2 huge playlists on yt and it would break the mold. BUT here is my ALL TIME FAVOURITE.
It is sexy, lighthearted, funny and simply Bangel Fluff that makes me happy.

I feel the same. Buffy and Angel never needed words because their eyes and looks always said more than their words.
 
Aug. 6 - Day 6: Favorite setting/location for a Bangel scene?
The mansion, of course!

Although I'm gonna give a shout out to Buffy's bedroom, only because it's so rare to get a Bangel bedroom scene.

As much as I love seeing Buffy in Angel's space I would have liked to see more of Angel in her domain. Everything about him is just so at odds with her warm, girly, modern aesthetic that it would have been interesting to watch him try to navigate and fit in around that. There's also such an intimate feel to bedroom scenes. I wanted more!

Day 8- Aug. 8th Favorite Bangel fanvid and gifset

Gifset: either the one where Angel and Buffy are shown walking/moving perfectly in sync, or the one which gathers all the times they're so in love with each other it's kind of rude! 😉 (I don't know how to source the gifsets from tumblr even though I'm logged in - it just keeps taking me back to the dashboard. Help, anyone?)

Video: There's a vid out there which shows all the times Buffy and Angel were happy around each other. I can't remember the name but I think @Mrs Gordo does as she might've reblogged it before.

Aug. 7 - Day 7: Most heartbreaking Bangel scene
Each time Buffy says, "What about me?" in Amends, it hits me somewhere deep, deep inside and stirs it around. It is something so profoundly naked about that line and the delivery. It is like, David is literally dying and as a result, Sarah's life is over.

Aug. 8 - Day 8:
I am not sure if this counts, because it is really a high school Buffy video, but it is a bleeding masterpiece and it deserves more views.

I love the parallels of their journeys. How neither of them asked for their destiny but when push comes to shove both of them have risen to the occasion many times over. They have demonstrated through their actions and sacrifices that they are heroes.

Favorite vid is a tough one for me I have so many that I love but ultimately I went to the one that I literally watch over and over again like some weird obsession which is Robinsrevenge - First Love (already included above). And I’ve said this before but if anyone tries to pull the whole “they were always miserable around each other” just send them this vid starting at the 1:07 mark.

Day 9: Bangel scene you like that most people seem to dislike ?

I think most people dislike the line "when you kiss me I wanna die" surely because they find that over melodramatic but I don't. I think it's just show that Buffy truly loves Angel and she expresses her feelings and I think it's cute 🙂. And I like the metaphor fairy tale behind this line. It shows that Buffy is conscious that Angel isn't a charming prince and she isn't a princess and life with him isn't gonna be easy and she won't find peace, this isn't gonna be like heaven. She knows that she embraces a dangerous path that promises her a life more difficult but she is in love and sometimes love worth you take risks and that's what she did. I like to understand the scene like that even if I'm probably going too far in my interpretation.
