Ummm, take off caps if you can!

For a fic I was writing a few years ago, I had a special division of the Council of Watchers that developed weapons.

I had a device that fired sharpened crosses that had hooks attached meaning when it connected with Vampire skin, it would have to be ripped off causing considerable damage and pain.

I also made a gun that fired wooden tipped silver bullets for the purposes of fighting both Vamps and Werewolves.

I wonder if Holy water could be mixed in some kind of adhesive jello and still remain pure? Sort of like Holy Napalm that could adhere and smear, but would not hurt humans.

Doubt it, but it would be very effective if it worked.

Holy Water is just blessed water right.

I don't know why the Watchers Council didn't just buy up some Fire engines, have a priest stand at the hydrant blessing and then just open fire with a hose!

Heck, that would have been one of the most formidable of weapons.

Would a wood tipped silver bullet work? Wouldn't the wood just shatter on impact? I'd have thought a vamp would need more than a splinter to dust it.

I'm not trying to pick holes or anything, btw, I'm actually interested if anyone knows how that would work. It's a neat idea.

Well that would depend on the wood. You have some woods that are close to strength of metal.

As for what can kill a vampire - way I see it if a pencil can kill a vampire a small piece would do OK.

Here is the description of my bullets though.

"The bullet stood on the table a good 2 inches in the air. Its casing gilttering in the bright white of the lab.

I think you could easily modify magnum shotgun cartridges to fire stakes (small ones yeah). I 10 shot semi auto shotgun firing those babies would be handy:fighting1

Really quite simple and even readily available. Tracer ammunition. It's the stuff that you see flashing through tha air in all of the military movies. It's a regular bullet with a white phosphorus and thermite core, burning at a temperature in excess of 2000 degrees farenheit. A gouple of those out of a .45 automatic should incinerate any vamp or demon and would even give the average hell god fits.

They're available in a variety of calibers, but .45 acp for handguns and either .308 nato or .223 should handle anything a Slayer might run into on a routine night's patrol. For something bigger, there's .50 and 20mm machine gun rounds, and for the REALLY big stuff, whatever artillery you might prefer.

Let the mayhem begin.

I think cleaning wepons with holy water might have an affect, also i thought about what Edmund Blackadder said about there being woods as strong as metals what if you simply made swords, axes and other slayage wepons out of that wood

I don't actually see the benefits if swords and axes made of wood because of you you use them.

The stake follows a dagger type design BUT swords are used to slay/slice not jab so you don't need to change it as the sword is effective in decapitation and thats the same with the axe.

How about chainmail made from crosses! so when vamps fight with you they Burn ! Or even a supersoaker with a stake attached to it filled with holy water !
