interesting interesting!..... lovin the fact Buffy doesnt know about Spike yet...... but i can't wait til she does.... keep it coming... this thing is like a god dam television show..... you have to wait til next week's ep!

Chapter 10
Part 1
The clowns

Xander and Lorne walked the streets of L.A together singing and laughing as if they were old friends. Lorne looked at Xander and smiled.
"So patches you really care about this girl."
Xander stopped singing and looked at Lorne.
"Dawn's special, important. Buffy would die if anything ever happened to her."
Lorne grinned, "You know sunshine you should tell the girl how you feel."
"who? Buffy?
"Little sis sweetie. You know you two could have something special."
Xander lauhghed trying to pretend he didn't have a clue what Lorne was talking about.
"Dawn? No way. She's Dawnie and besides she deserves better."
Lorne gave Xander a concerned look. Even though they hadn't known each other long Lorne had already started to form a bond with Xander.
"You know I thought it was more you didn't want her getting hurt. Well guess what patches? From what I saw your girl can handle herself."
Xander looked at Lorne and took a breath.
"I've fallen in love with Dawn. She's amazing, special and one of the best things to ever happen to me. She's also Buffy's sister. Her little sister which makes her off limits. And besides Dawn doesn't feel that way about me."
Lorne looked into the shadows.
"You'd be surprised sunshine."
It began to rain. Xander looked around there was no sign of Dawn.
"We better get moving."

Part 2
The siblings

Dawn stood in the shadows listening as Xander spoke with Lorne. She was grinning from ear to ear. Spike had heard screams and had gone to investigate the source of the sound leaving Dawn to wit.
"All done niblet. Now let's get a move on."
Dawn turned to follow Spike the grin still not leaving her face.
"Someone's happy then." said Spike noting Dawn's facial expression.
Dawn turned to look at Spike.
"Since when was smiling such a big crime?"
Spike grinned.
"It's not pet. Just saying is all."
As the rain began to fall Spike saw Dawn shiver underneath his jacket. Putting his arms around Dawn he began to run.
"Come on love we need to get you back before you catch a cold."

Anyway, I just read your whoooole fic up to this point, and I LOOOOVE it! Bangely and the thing with Xander and Dawn is cool too! Really liked when you brought in Faith to save that girl, it's nice to see her character in there too. Don't have a lotta time to write so Awesome Job! More soon please! 😀

OK I'd like to dedicate this next part of the chapter to eunsome because he's been a loyal reader since this fic began.

Chapter 10
Part 3
The brains

Fred and Willow had gotten to talking. They spoke about technology, maths, science, literature. Willow grinned. She loved being able to have intellectual conversations with people.
"It's so great to know I'm not the only bookworm fighting evil."
Fred laughed along with Willow.
"Yeah. I mean most of the smart people on the staff are well kinda evil in one way or another."
All of a sudden the girls were surrounded by a gang of vampires. Fred began to panic trying to work out what to do. Fred usually tried to steer clear of the fighting as much as possible. She was always happy to let Angel do the fighting. Seeing the panic on Fred's face Willow quickly took charge.
"Don't worry I can totally handle this. Piece of kinda complex cake."
Fred nodded at Willow. She knew that Willow had an understanding of what to do. After all she was more experienced in the demon fighting business.
"Okay, only if you say so."
Willow stepped forward looking back at Fred.
"I do say so."
Willow concentrated on the vampires and spoke.
"Inceneray."
The vampires began to scream, as the fire soon turned them into dust. Then it began to rain. Looking at the storm Willow smiled slightly.
"Woops. Why does that always happen when I attempt that spell. the rain wasn't supposed to happen."
Together the girls ran back to the hotel.

Part 4
The Muscle

Gunn looked at Kennedy as they walked through the night in search of Dawn. Gunn kept on staring at the young slayer who was quickly getting annoyed. Growing tired Kennedy turned to confront Gunn and spoke.
"What? Do you have a problem with me? Cause you keep on staring at me like some little kid seeing a vamp for the first time."
Gunn shook his head.
"I mean are you seriously with red? Cause if you are that's hot!"
Kennedy rolled her eyes and stormed off in front of Gunn.
"Men."
Gunn looked at Kennedy.
"What do you mean men? Do you people have a problem with us men?"
Kennedy snapped her head around glaring at Gunn.
"Hey! Us people? We're called lesbians moron look it up!"
Gunn just realising he'd offended the young girl quickly began to apologise.
"Sorry man. I didn't mean it like that. Friends?"
Looking at Gunns outstretched hand Kennedy smiled and shook it.
"Friends."
Then the rain began to fall leaving both Kennedy and Gunn wet and in need of shelter. The two began their journey back to the hotel.
 
ok this one is dedicated to Al who will probably never read this let alone post in this thread but it's a thank you for being such a good friend.

Chapter 10
Part 5
The Watchers

Giles and Wesley walked together admist an awkward silence. Neither of the two willing to talk. Giles decided the silence was too difficult and tried to strike up conversation.
"So Wesley. How have you been?"
Wesley was stunned at the sudden disruption in the silence but welcomed the distraction.
"Is this really necessary?"
"I'm not sure if I quite understand what you're saying."
Wesley shook his head.
"We're two old friends. Is this awkwardness really necessary?"
Giles shook his head the faintest glimmer of a smile coming across his features.
"No I suppose not."
The two looked at each other and together they both laughed. If you were an outsider looking in no-one would quite know what they were laughing about. But the two had an understanding, shared a bond, a connection. And once agaion Giles and Wesley weren't just two men they were friends. And then the rain began to fall and the friends ran back towards the hotel.
 
Oooh loving the new stuff hon! The "what do you mean 'you people'?" bit was priceless (made me laugh SO hard 😀), and I really enjoyed how you put Giles and Wes together and just how you showed their friendship. It's something you don't see with them everyday, and it was a great idea to include it, I think! 🙂

Part 6
The Lovers

The rain fell around Buffy and Angel surrounfing them, drenching them, covering them from head to toe. Buffy began to shiver. Her clothes now so wet they clung to every curve of her body. Angel decided it was time to head back. Wrapping his arms around Buffy he tried to steer her back to the hotel.
"Buffy we need to get back."
Breaking away from Ange's grasp Buffy stepped back to look into his eyes. Her tears visible even in the rain.
"No I'm not going back. Not without her. I can't let her down."
Angel turned to Buffy who was beginning to turn blue from the cold.
"Someone may have found her by now. Buffy, you can't help anyone if you get sick."
Buffy looked around in quiet desperation. She knew Angel was right but all the same she didn't want to leave her sister out there cold and alone. Walking over to Angel he quickly wrapped her in his arms and together they began their short journey back to the hotel. Buffy searching the shadows for any sign of her sister.
 
Awwww! Cute update! Love the lil bangelness in it (wheehee! :bounce: it's awesome), and Buffy's unwillingness to leave is really consistant with her character on the show, which is a really important part to fanfic that people tend to overlook at times, I think. Great work Jess! Can't wait for more :thumbs:
