New Blade comic is Buffy

According to news revealed by Bleeding Cool, the main character in the next installment of the horror franchise will be Fallon Grey, Blade's 16-year-old daughter. Oh, stop groaning!

Marvel was gearing up for an October launch of its new Blade comic book featuring Fallon as a typical teenager from Oregon who learns of the blood-laced legacy she's been born into. Seems there may now be a delay in the comic's debut as it acclimates itself to a possible feature film adaptation.

Blade’s daughter is 16-year-old Fallon Grey. She’s a sort of ‘anti-Peter Parker.’ She’s popular, she’s well-liked and it seems like the world is her oyster. But, the expectations that come with being so damn perfect are starting to break her down, and that’s before she learns she’s the heir to a Daywalking-Monster-Stabbing-Empire.​

Hello? McFly? Is that not Buffy? It sounds like a lot like Buffy to me.

Well, they have since put the comic book plans on temporary hold as they are gearing up to make it a movie. Within the MCU, no less. How they plan to do that is another story. But maybe when the movie doesn't produce results they will change the cast and create a TV show.
