New Buffy Game for DS

Sounds cool! I think i'm going to buy it. 😀 Luckily, i've a nintendo so all i have to do is buy the game.. and play B)

Meh, just imo, but it probably won't be too good... Then again, I could be wrong.

I probably will buy it just because I:
1. Love Buffy.
2. am a video game nerd.
3. I have a DS.

EDIT: Now I just want a "SingStar" game for the PS3 where you can sing-along to Buffy: OMWF, and Dr. Horrible. <- That'd be great! lol

AGREE! :D
New BtVS Video Game

I couldn't find this in any threads, so I decided to make one. (Sorry if one has been made.)

So, Buffy is coming to the Nintendo DS. The new game is going to be called Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice.

"Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Sacrifice combines third-person and first-person gameplay to create an all-new experience in the Buffyverse. The stakes are high for players as they take on the role of Buffy to seal the re-opened Hellmouth in an original story penned by Rob Deshotel, a writer from the TV series.

This action-packed 3D survival horror game sees Buffy using a range of special weapons, powerful spells and martial arts to take out vicious vampires and demons. In addition to these enemies, players also come across recognizable characters from the show, including Spike, Angel, the Master, the First Evil, Caleb and, of course, the Scooby Gang." - IGN

Yeah, and your Guinness is cheaper also. Is there no justice? (well there is that whole gas pump thing, I'm whining at 4.20 American.....for diesel. What are you all paying for it in pounds across the pond?)

I don't care if I have to fly over there, I will own this game. I love the DS interface as well as Buffy. This seems a match made in heaven that could only be bested by Wii staking.

I had not realized that there were two other (horrible it seems) Buffy games for the gameboy untill I researched this topic alittle. Now I must have them/find them also...even if they are craptacular.

On the side, do any of you know of any game modifications and Construction sets for other games that could be or are Buffy friendly, you know...make your own Buffy game??

I only know of only one....maybe two, and it is Morrowind (and its succesor Oblivion). The game has spells and such, friendly for Willow as well as allready having a mod. to put Buffy's face on your NPC....the game allready has vampires (but the true game version sucks....also fixed by mods...someone even had a Buffy styled vampire face awhile back if memory serves for vamps.) deamons, and werewolves as well as both ancient weapons and modded modern ones.

I'm basically testing the water here....anyone wondering more about Morrowind as it could be applied to Buffy let me know and i'll start up another thread, but if this hamster is just spinning his wheel....well, I'll get tired of it soon enough....damn wheel, it is so much unlike a ball. Atleast a ball lets you get somwhere.

1. Dunno about the petrol (I don't have a car)
2. It should be fairly cheap on Ebay or an import site, you shouldn't need to fly over here lol
3. Not even Buffy-fying it can make Marrowind good, and i don't know if this is the kind of thing you mean, but you can make Buffy characters using the CAW mode in the latest WWE games

Thats the nice thing about having running the games on a computer rather than home console; a comp and a scanner and a construction set that will let you retexture stuff and make the appearances almost lifelike is pretty cool....I could not do this mind you, but having access to a good mod maker that can do it without smoking their PC is pretty easy! In fact alot of bare bones Buffy mods are allready out there waiting to be unzipped by WINRAR and plugged into the game. Its the small stuff in a total conversion thats a pain in the arse...like making curbs and sidewalks and modern weapon models....WAY beyond me. Then there is the research; I borrowed Buffy RPG books and watched season one over and over again to try to just figure the libraries layout correctly.

Alot of work for a headache, but still fun in a masochistic sort of way. In the end I settled for just playing Buffy in the Morrowind game...but I did have the tools to make a Buffy game though sadly not the know how.

My Buffy in Morrowind looked like her, much better than the Chaos Bleeds models for the box, PS2 and cube, and I could 'control console' the character skills in and set them to what I thought would be good for Buffy. It was actually fun...even with morrowinds strange hybrid RPG/FPS interface for combat and the incredibly lame "I can not kick with hand to hand combat." factored in. I do stress though...any good Buffy game must naturally have kicking.

On this I can only speak for Morrowind, my computer is far to brain damaged to run oblivion even if its specs were up to snuff rather than snot!

Sadly my computer lost its mind when I tried to use a construction set, which is way more than just a create a character,....its mora a game builders tool used primarely for quest/item/character/gameplay tweaking and creating; In my meltdowns case I was trying to recreate Sunnydale and had way to many mods and texture replacers in play.

I know it can be done, I just screwed it up 😛

As far as wresteling games go and create a wrestler....I've been doing that for Buffy since Smack Down Know your Role.

Unfortunately after 3 or so consecutive wrestling games and really getting upset over Eddie G's death and Benoits murder suicide...and finding out my old hero Stone Cold was a wife beating duche bag...oh and the hulkster was sleeping with his daughters friend....well if not for Batista/Levithan and Cena/Prototype I would have given completely up on the squared circle awhile ago. As it stands I can't yet stomache the games.

I've heard deus Ex has a good construction set perhaps a good construction set awaits me there, but Morrowind seemd a good start. I actually liked it for its story and openendedness.

Whoever said that bit about going on patrol (open endedness) or just roaming Sunnydale and opening up the seasons as you want to (for gameplay) You got Karma coming your way. Great Idea. When you build your own game experience by modding you can make it as good as you imagine it.
