A few girls I know go crazy for Megan Fox; "she's so hot, sexy, I love her, oh my God", but not in a lesbian way even though sometimes they get into very sexual territory when talking about Megan Fox. What bugs me even more is if I say something to one of those girls about how I like Ben Affleck, they think I'm weird. What gives? What's so great about Megan Fox? Her lack of talent?

BTW, Affleck could not act his sorry a$$ out of a paper bag.
 
I think she's nice to look at, and that's enough for me! 😀
I think it's all too early to hate on Megan Fox. Let's give the bird some time to develop her skillz before we make a decision, mkay?

Not to go too off topic, but Affleck has some skills. I've always found him to be really funny and believable and alive in most movies. His only really great dramatic performance was in Hollywoodland, though, but at least he proved that if he chooses the right material, he can pull it off. The few things I've seen Fox do, she looks great but her acting just, not good. In Transformers, Shia Labeouf makes her look incredibly bad! Heck, I don't even think Jolie is that great. Too bony faced, a boring actress. I love Salma Hayek though; she's absolutely hilarious (and sexy, of course) in 30 Rock.

And to be on topic again: After what Buffy Summers said, which I guess is something I've kind of thought but didn't really consider, I'd be a lot more likely to at least check the new Buffy film out. The thing that bugs me though is the Kuzui's. If they did it wrong nearly 20 years ago, how do they expect to do it right this time around? I guess as long as they stay true to the spirit of the show--even if Xander, Willow, Spike, etc aren't there--as long as they at least keep the spirit of the show in mind. And not just turn it into some brainless cash cow. With good writing behind it, and good direction, it could be an amazing movie.

If it comes out in 2012, which is what IMDb has, that'd be acceptable, too. Nearly 10 years after the show's over, 20 years after the first movie.

But have they actually done much since then? Hopefully they've figured something out, perhaps how to get a good director? I haven't a clue as to what they've been up to, but I imagine they haven't just become bums. Have any other names been attached to the movie? I'll have to sift through these posts again to see but I can't remember hearing anything about a writer/directer or anything of that nature.

"Buffy Summers agrees: Affleck was da bomb in Phantoms". Now I think I must go watch all the Jay and Silent Bob movies... followed by every Affleck movie in my ownership. That line always gives me a nice little grin 🙂

And he was the bomb in Phantoms. Cool book, terrible movie, but Affleck really was the bomb.
 
Just checked IMDb and according to that the Kuzui's have done nothing since 2004 (Angel) and the new Buffy if it should appear scheduled for 2012.
 
You know, I'm sure they're going to executive produce this thing, so it's really down to who they hire to actually produce the thing... *shrugs*
 
So have there been any real updates on the movie yet? Not rumours, but actual announcements about what will be happening with it? I've been keeping an eye out, but can't seem to find much about it.
 
i will definately go see this, even though i don't think its going to be good. Hopefuly if they do make this movie, they aleast try to get some of the old cast back. Although, its not just the cast because theres no point have the same cast if the charecters dont act the same. Like theres no point having spike, without him being his old sarcastic self.

I don't think that all of us, as fans, should go and see it at all. Just like not all of us should be, or are, in love with the comics.

but i did read half of the comics, and did not enjoy them :|

it's not the same! Ii really do like Angel Atf though 😉
 
the problem is if we all go see it and it sucks (which it will ) the kazuis win since they got alllllll the money to continue to beat our slayer into the ground with crappy toys, tv spin offs and merchandising
 
Yeah I agree. I probably would see the movie. But you can't use plot of one tv show that aired for 7 years, and make a movie of it without people that participated in it. I was reading the comics, but I don't anymore. I can't. That's just not Buffy that I know and love.
 
They should have made a Buffy/Angel movie after Angel got cancelled. It would have been simply amazing to have had the original casts of Buffy and Angel together in an extra long movie! To have tied everything up... instead of all the comics (not that I don't enjoy AtF and the 8th season of Buffy, I just feel that some fans would have truly appreciated a tidy ending to the series. I know I would've). I'm probably going to see this movie out of curiosity, but I'm NOT happy that they're making it now as opposed to a few years ago!!
