Where do we Go from Here

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - "Were do we go from here" with those words, the most popular cult television show in history faded into black for the final time.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (News), which to the dismay of millions ended on May 20th, 2003 was that show, and for almost seven years Buffy & the Scooby gang enthralled millions of fans every week.

But like everything in the Buffyverse, nothing stays burried for long, and you can't keep a good slayer, urm"¦ Slayers down.

That's right on January 15th, Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar, Scooby Doo & Scream 2), Willow (Allyson Hannigan, American Wedding), and Xander (Nicholas Brendon, Children of the Corn 3) will suite up once again to fight the good fight, as films begins.

The Premium Cable channel, Showtime has just inked a deal with Buffy creator Joss Whedon and 20th Century Fox, for a new spin-off "The Chosen" which is set to premiere Summer 2004.

The Show will star Buffy alum's Allyson Hannigan, Nicholas Brendon, Tom Lenk, Anthony Stewart Head, and Michelle Trachtenberg and will follow the story of the Scooby's rebuilding the Watchers Council (Watchers found, trained, and guided all the vampire slayers), while Buffy tries to find herself.

So far the recurring guest stars are Eliza Dusku (Tru Calling), David Boreanaz (Angel), Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Donald Sutherland. 20 Episodes have been ordered, but no scripts have been written.

So It looks like you really can't keep a good slayer down (or at least her friends).

MY SAY-I really don't think this is true. As soon as I read this at Buffy.nu, I thought "Why would Joss make a lowley non-digital cable-or-satelite-ppl make us suffer like this"

Then I noticed above the article it said <font color="red">
WARNING : THERE IS A VERY HIGH PROBABILITY FOR THIS TO BE A FAKE BECAUSE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER HASN'T CONFIRMED THIS NEWS AND ANYBODY CAN POST A NEWS ON TVTOME.COM !
0:20 AM GMT - THIS NEWS HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM TVTOME.COM
<font color="white"> So, I'm pretty sure this is NOT true!

There's already a topic on this in 'Latest News and Announcements', pal. 😀

Not likely. Alyson will have her own sitcom next year, and for now Tru is still airing. It might just last 'till the end of this season, then it'll be over and then Eliza will sign on for FtVS ... wishfull thinking!

Faith the Vampire Slayer ... we can dream. (*Slips off into a mental abyss*) 😀

Faith the Vampire Slayer? It doesn't have the same feeling....

I'd like Faith the Vampire Slayer... Does "Faith" sound weirder than "Buffy," though?

We can all hope for a spinoff. Is AH's 2004 comedy a certainty, though? Looks like Joss is trying hard to get a spinoff on the air...

Yea, but still, It would feel kinda wierd w/o Buffy. I know it was good w/ Angel, and it would be OK with Faith, but w/ Willow (although it would be cool), it would be all crazy. Anyways, AH's got her comedy, which I will totally watch!! Yea, Joss does seem to be trying hard to get a spin-off on air, seeing as 'Angel' is most likely gonna be over after s. 6...or is that just a rumor?

I doubt Angel would last much longer than Season 6. I don't want to be negative, but it just doesn't look good for our hero. *shrug*

I don't want 'Angel' to end, but for a spin-off to outlive the original ( and the better one, if I do say so myself), well...

This has got to be the fakest news I've ever read. lol. It would be great and all though. They could get away with a lot more on Showtime.

The part that REALLY gave it away was listing Donald Sutherland as one of the actors (the watcher from the so-so Buffy movie). Reason being? Joss Whedon HATES Donald Sutherland! He was a ******* on the set of the Buffy movie, changed his lines and helped ruin Joss' vision. Joss would NOT cast that man in anything EVER if he had control.

I just read this, and seeing how it's the 15th already, and nothing has happened, I'm guessing it's fake.

I could tell by the first sentence that this was fake. It looks like it's written by a fourth grader.
