Hello! I am a 27 year old suit from the Detroit area who fell in love with the Buffyverse about a year ago. How I got here is short but sweet, when I was in college, a friend of mine lent me the Firefly discs and I was hooked. However as a 24 year old Serious Male I of course thought Buffy the Vampire Slayer was for girlies! (although I admit I did enjoyed Once More, With Feeling when I DL'd it in college on a lark.) So this winter a friends girlfriend asked if I liked BtVS as I expressed love for both Firefly and Vampires. When I replied that I had never watched, she lent me the first season and again I was snagged. One Amazon Gold Box deal later and I've got the Chosen set and ate up Buffy in about a month. I was overall fairly impressed with the series but didn't enjoy the last couple seasons so much, then she mentioned the show 'Angel.' So I bought that and fell absolutely in love with the show, took me only a couple weeks to get through it.


I'm a Wesley junky, cried during The Body twice, Hole in the World, and Not Fade Away. My favorite Buffy season is 3 and Angel is harder to say... but maybe 5.

Hi Wes! :welcome: I'll join the group of people that can't believe that the name was available but good for you. 🙂 If you want to get to know a few of our members a bit better getting sorted would be a good idea and you get sorted in The Sorting Tome. You seem to find your way around pretty well but if you feel that you might need a little guidance on the boards don't be afraid to ask anyone for help or maybe get an official helper by getting adopted, Bad Eggs.

And the name, oh the name Buffy the vampire slayer. It sure makes people stay away from the show. Sad but it makes it so more special when you do get hooked. Glad you finally watched it. Seems you've seen most things but the question is if you've seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog. If you like the work of Whedon you need to check it out.

Yay! Go detroit! Where abouts are you from? I was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills but I'm currently residing north of Grand Rapids. Oh, and welcome to the boards. 🙂

Hey LG, I was born/raised in Warren, went to school at MSU and currently live in Royal Oak. I went to a wedding north (or perhaps just near) of GR once... Byron Center.
