Hello! I just recently discovered this forum and was happy to find so many passionate Buffy fans! I've only been a fan for a couple of years, but I have already watched the show almost three times, not to mention YouTube compilations. I enjoy discussing the show and characters, and am excited to do so in a traditional forum setting, which will be a bit of a learning curve for me since I am used to Tumblr. I've also read the first few volumes of the season 8 comics, and I hope to read the rest. Other than Buffy, I am a college student, I love creative writing, and I have two pet rats! I hope to meet some new people here, even if I'm not the main demographic of this site. Thanks for reading! 😁
 
Welcome! I didn't know tumblr was still going! I hope you find some topics of interest here. There are definitely other members with pet rats too. Don't be afraid to post in old threads, its fair game as long as it's not in the cemetery. Look forward to reading your posts 🙂

Hi! Yeah, Tumblr is actually alive and well, smaller userbase than it used to have, however. I have already found some really interesting topics, I have been reading over old threads for the last hour! And thank you for the advice, I wasn't sure what the etiquette was for posting in threads here.

Just post away in any open topic. If you read anything from the closed threads that you want to discuss now you can start a new thread of that topic. Don't be shy, Not much can go wrong, the mods will correct anything that does but they mostly leave us to it cos we're all so well trained now haha.

Its great to hear the opinions of new viewers and see how topics change through the generations whilst remaining appealing.
 
Thank you so much! And I agree! It's interesting to see how different some of the general opinions about the show were twenty or so years ago compared to opinions people on modern social media have who are watching for the first time. I've been fascinated by that with a lot of shows, and have gone down many internet rabbit holes of old posts and sites haha. However, it is also lovely to see the positive ways in which the fandom remains the same. I definitely think Buffy is one of those shows that continues to be popular because its themes continue to be relevant to this day!

My favorite characters are Buffy, Anya, Cordelia, and Tara! Who are yours? I've seen the first season of Angel. It took me a long time to get through it, I didn't like it as much compared to Buffy but I've heard it gets better in season 2. I really liked the crossover episodes with Faith in season 1, though, and the season finale!

They are both male, named Castiel and Oswald. I love this comment though, if I ever adopt one named Amy I'll be sure to take this advice XD
