New in Town

Welcome! The forum is generally pretty quiet, but there's a lot of interesting stuff to read, and everyone I've talked to has been really friendly.

WHAT! . . . tee hee, not so quiet now is it?
Hello, I've been lurking round here for a while, thought I'd finally say hello.

I've been a fan of Buffy for...just about 20 years now, so not quite when it was on but a long time. Last few years my interest in the Buffyverse has really been revived and I've started writing copious amounts of fanfics. I also have a significant collection of Buffy autographs these days. Um, yeah so hi and nice to meet everyone.
Hey! I've been a hardcore fan since '99 but I've never actually met any of the cast. I saw SMG in person in NYC when she was doing the Watch Watch happens live with Andy Cohen show- I yelled Sarah and waved to her, she smiled and waved back but she was on the move so it wasn't like I could get an autograph or pic (I wasn't trying to bother her/be that person anyway). And I got to speak to Michelle Trachtenberg (R.I.P.) also when she was doing that show Watch Watch Happens live when she was taking live questions from callers; this was all around 10 years ago- Michelle was really fun and playful on the call. I recently decided I really need to go to a convention if I ever want to meet the cast in person while I still possibly can. Since you got autographs I'm curious who you met and what you thought of them. I really want to meet James Marsters, Juliet Landau, Julie Benz, Charisma Carpenter and Clare Kramer. Obviously I'd love to meet them all but those 5 really seem to go to conventions, love the fandom and their respective characters. Amber Benson too. And it looks like David Boreanaz has done some conventions recently which I love because I don't think he really did for a long time.

I'm also wondering what your favorite seasons and episodes are!

What autographs do I have...okay...its a long list...I've been aiming for a complete set. So....

Met in person: Charisma Carpenter, James Masters, Juliet Landau, Mercedes McNab, Alexis Denisof, Amy Acker, Mark Metcalf, Jonathan Woodward, Tom Lenk, Brian Thompson, Andrew Fercheld, Keith Szarabajka, Vincent Kartheiser.

Have autograph but didn't meet in person: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Eliza Dushku, David Boreneaz, Allison Hannigan, Amber Benson, Armin Shimmerman, Robia LaMorte, Anthony Stewart Head, Nicholas Brendon, Elizabeth Anne Allen, Bianca Lawson, Seth Green, Harry Groener, K. Todd Freeman, Danny Strong, Emma Caulfield, Clare Kramer, Joel Gray, Kali Rocha, D.B. Woodside, Iyari Limon, Sarah Hagan, Christian Kane, Stephanie Romanov, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin.

So a few gaps to fill yet, but a pretty long list. Hopefully I'll get Julie Benz in November at Liverpool Comic Con.

Of those I met, well the conventions I met them at had a meet and greet so got a little time with them in small groups: Alexis Denisof came across as very humble and grateful to his fans, Amy Acker was sweet, James Masters was friendly and playful, Jonathan Woodward seemed like he'd had a few drinks to be honest but was very chatty, Keith Szarabajka and Brian Thompson maybe came across as slightly abrupt. Charisma Carpenter sat next to me and I was a little star struck to be honest, I remember her talking about her family.

One or two I never met in person but did attend online talks with during covid. Amber Benson struck me as a genuinely nice person. I remember her telling a story about a woman who proposed to her at a convention, funny the random things that stick in your mind.

Favorite season would certainly be Season 3, I love Faith and the dynamic between Buffy and Faith. The Mayor was a great bad guy too, some strong one off episodes like Band Candy, all round an almost flawless season.

Favorite episodes? Well I'll stick to fairly self contained stories Halloween, Band Candy, Gingerbread, The Wish, A New Man, Something Blue, Hush (good in itself but bonus for introducing Tara), Superstar, Buffy vs Dracula, Once More With Feeling (not generally a fan of musicals but do love OMWF).

@twoslayers,
in those erotic Fan Fictions will it alter the story to much if you edit the erotic nature from the fics?
For example, I wrote a tale about werewolves then I altered it to be about vampires. The main essence of the tale remained although it did become quite a bit shorter, thing is it still read quite good as a good fan-fic for this site.

Well I suppose the more erotic scenes could be omitted or just implied yeah. Although the more erotic stories are fairly lengthy. Not all my stories are erotic to be fair, some are just suggestive and probably could be posted here.

I'll go with suggestive, suggestive can be fun to read and fun to write. Yup.
Changing the content is also a good writing exercise for the writers mind.

Alright, well as there's clearly a demand I'll give y'all a regular drip feed of suggestive stories.
