So, we've found a new home on Afternet, which we used before a long long time ago lol

The new server is irc.afternet.org

The new chat channel is [HASHTAG]#buffy[/HASHTAG]

If you're using mIRC, it's already in the list of servers 🙂

I'll leave the shoutbox up a little while longer, until we can get everything set up (the FAQs updated etc) and make sure everything's running smoothely.

I've still got to set that up, you can use Mibbit though (directions are in the FAQ, just substitute irc.afternet.org for the server and [HASHTAG]#buffy[/HASHTAG] for the channel in those directions.

Okay, so the link is back up under Member Community. You'll have to type in your username though, and [HASHTAG]#buffy[/HASHTAG] in the Channels box

As always, anyone pretending to be another user in the chat will be banned from the board.

I generally never go in if I am online at home.. only time I do is at work.

It's not about keeping up; you do not have conversations you simply talk. If you like hearing the sound of your own voice (cybernetically speaking) then you really should have no issue with the chat. Maybe its the company you keep which prohibits pure enjoyment of the room.
 
Yeah I try to log in when I'm online, and stay in there when I'm online, cuz people just pop in and out.
 
Also, everyone should bookmark the link to the chat if they don't use an program to connect, because it's on a different server than the board so if the board's down, everyone can still chat in there 🙂

(Also good idea to bookmark after-darkness.com for the same reason.)
 
It took me a while to figure everything out (I'm a Linux person) but I'm here now. No one ever seems to be on though...

we should get an "I am online right now" thread.

I swear I saw a thread like this made but I can't find it. Anyone know where it went?
 
It's been deleted - it's not real time, so it's not actually useful. It's better if people just leave the chat window open when they're on the board. If people sign in and sign right out again, no one will ever be in there.
