Well done me, i have a nice new job which i'm starting next week! It's a much nicer job than my old one, and it's a great stepping stone for my career. I finished my old job yesterday, it was very wierd because i've been there over three years!

Which got me wondering, what does everyone here do? Do people enjoy their job? Or what do you hope to be?
 
Congrats to your new job!

I've just started an acting/theatre school, where we study a not very common kind of physical acting. It's really hard do explain it and the methods, some things I don't even get myself yet, but if anyone is interested here's our homepage: teaterstudion

I really enjoy it, very very much, even more then I thought I would. I've already learnt so much. And my hope is that I will be able to work as an actress, director in one way or another.

I just got my first one not to long ago, I start tomorrow. I'm now an official smoothy maker 😀 As for what I wanna do, I wouldn't mind being a photographer, other than that i'm not sure.
 
I dont actually work or go to school but thats cause i've been moving to much but hopefully i'm gonna get back into school and start work at the nearest dollar general then go to college to be a radiologist the people who do xrays and stuff like that lol
 
Congrats on the job, those things are always good. Me on the other hand, not so much, I'm just one of those poor students. This Sunday I go back to the UK and my Uni. One day I will probably start my own religion (that's a job right?) and be a member of a collective of cool people that's got their own theatre room and always a bottle of Cristal(spellin, I just know it's unessecary, from France and extremely expensive) in the refrigerator and I will be the lapdog of the new ruler of the planet.....oh but yeah that's not what I'm studying to become, those are just my back-up plans. In case my archaeology studies doesn't get me a nice job when I'm finished with them.
 
Wow, some of you people are actually studying and/or doing some interesting stuff. Why didn't I think of that. I spent five years getting my degree in civil engineering and you'd think the fact that I hated studying it would have been a dead giveaway that I was on the wrong track. But, I persevered then went to work as a geotechnical engineer and hated it even more than when I was studying it. I think there's lesson there somewhere kiddies.

Anyway, now I'm a technician/mechanic in a quilt factory, which is okay. The time passes quickly while your running around trying to fix things and it actually pays better than the other. Can you tell that I've given up on the idea of working at something I actually enjoy? I'd better stop now lest I infect your eager young minds with my cynicism.
 
Erm, a job... isn't that something that involves getting your ass away from your computer 😉 Don't have one and don't really need one... I spend less money than Scrooge, so I'm good 😉
 
I'm a Corporate Recruiter for a Medical Device company. It's a pretty cool job and I really love working in Human Resources (aka Personnel in some places still). I hear the most screwed up crap from people too, so it's never boring 😀
 
I used to work at the board of social services and I really liked it there.Unfortunately,I had to quit because I was going to start college.Now I'm unemplyed🙁
 
i'm in college at the moment, studying interior design, and then hopefully, i'm gonna move on and study set dressing, which is what i really wanna do.
but i do work part time for a pharmacutical(sp?) company, which, ok, is not the best job in the world, but the people i work with are some of the greatest people i've ever met, and that makes it fun!!

I agree, even if you've got the most crap job in the world, if you work with decent people they make it so much easier! Thats why i stayed at my previous job for so long, but i'm really gonna miss people.
First day of a new job reminds me of your first day at school, being nervous making friends etc! (just more work and longer hours though..)
