New Moon (Possible spoilers)

I have to agree with the sentiments regarding Taylor Lautner. He took a difficult role with some hardcore cheese-ball dialogue (as Frankie mentioned) and made it his own. I really respect the kid. Even this early on, he's obviously very serious about his career and it shows. He had to gain 30 pounds of muscle for that role! That takes real dedication from a 17 year old kid.

I disagree about Kristen's acting, though. I think she's a good actress with great potential, and I couldn't care less about how she is in real life. I think she's made great choices with her career. She's only 19 and she's done quite a bit. Considering the nature of Bella as a character, I think Kristen is doing the best with what she was given.

I think Rob shows great potential, too. What irritates me is how in every photo-shoot I've seen with him, he's trying wayyyy to hard to look "sexy." Perhaps that is how he's directed to pose, but still. His looks are only going to support him for so long. I hope we get to see him in a role soon where he can show his true talent as an actor. Many actors don't get the chance to show the full range of their talent because they're not offered "meaty" enough roles.

Also, some people are just crazy....

NORTON SHORES "” Police in southwestern Michigan are trying to locate a person they say got a little too much into the new film installment of the "Twilight" series.

Norton Shores police say the person bit the neck of a fellow movie-goer after a "New Moon" screening on Friday.

The Norton Shores Police Department is looking for the man, described as white, about 45 years old and 5 feet tall with dark, spiky hair.

The suspect had been sitting in the row in front of the 17-year-old victim and a female friend.

Detective Lt. Timothy LaVigne tells the Muskegon Chronicle the suspect reportedly made sexual comments to the teens before the biting occurred.

The bite did not break the skin, but the teen was frightened enough to call 911.

Oh where to being. I was finally able to go see the movie last night and it was aaaaaaaamazing. Okay, first of all, I am 27 years old and I have a ridiculously tweeny crush oh both Rob and Taylor. This movie made it ten times worse in regards to Taylor. He looked good enough to eat. I do feel like he did a great job portraying Jacob. He brings just the right amount of charisma while being so vulnerable. I adore him. I cannot wait to get this movie on dvd. I would also say that from the start I have been team edward all the way. This movie really made me change my mind. I was so team jacob by the end of the movie that I really couldnt get into the last few scenes with Edward and Bella. I just kept thinking, "Bella, you are a complete twat and should have chosen Jake."

Sweet sig!
Oh gosh, you guys know that part when we see Alice's vision about Bella being a vamp? And Edward and her are running in the forest? The whole theatre started laughing and I'm not thinking it was supposed to be funny 😀 😉

Also, I saw some of the clips before so I knew when Jake was going to take off his shirt. So I sort of squeled really loud and everyone in the theatre laughed at me. I didn't know it was that loud! lol

Yeah, everyone laughed! Prolly why it's a cult hit!

all three times I've seen it -everyone laughed. I think it is the vest
You read my mind. When my boyfriend and I got out of the theatre that was the first thing I brought up. It is exactly as I pictured her when she is first running with Edward after being turned. I will say those her eyes were gold when they should have been red. Aside from that I was very happy with it!!!

You know what is really amazing to me? Why is there so much hate on Kristen, Robert and Taylor's acting? I see a little here and a lot in critics and blog reviews. I completely disagree. I actually thought they were all well cast and were good representations of what I thought the characters would be like. I thought they all did a great job acting. I think I like Kristen because of her quirks and her akwardness, which is what Bella was like in the books.

Overall, I really liked it. Almost more then the first one. Better music, awesome CGI, more making out, hot shirtless bodies, loads of sexual tension and less cheese (although we couldn't totally leave ou the cheese!)

Did Kristen and Rob really fall in love in this movie is the real juicy question?!! I'll always be Team Edward because you can't deny attraction that strong. She'll always love Edward, even if she chose Jacob. Poor poor jacob. What a mind screw he gets from Bella! I love you...but I love Edward more....but I need you!:bite-cha:

Kristen was great as always though I think they could have made Bella a bit more depressive than she was. I seriously wish they'd kept more too the book on Bella's falling apart... Still Team Edward though 😀

Wait... you don't think she was depressed enough?? How much more pathetic, weak, and useless could she possibly be? If she would have tried to kill herself one more time I would have probably left the theatre. What a great thing for young impressionable girls to watch. Her boyfriend leaves her and she completely falls apart, repeatedly attempts suicide, and can barely function. Pitiful and boring.

Then along comes a guy who for some inexplicable reason actually cares about her and she just uses him to build her a motorcycle she can try to kill herself with. Whine whine whine then finally, "Oh Jacob, please don't make me choose! I can't choose!"... "Oh, by the way, I choose Edward." Lame.

Bad acting, bad writing, bad story, and excessive half nudity that I can only assume is there to attract the people who don't really care about the movie and just like seeing things topless. Which is obviously working.

Blah. Don't mean to offend anyone, but the appeal of these movies completely baffles me. Plus, I'd rather see Spike and Angel half naked any day.

I agree that the character is a HORRIBLE role model for young girls.

I do love twilight and even though I disagree at the part that was an obvious stab at people like me, who were saying that Taylor Lautner's abs were amazing, I've got to agree with some points in here.
Stephenie Meyer described Bella as an everyday girl. The normal one so that it is easier for us to place ourselves in the role while reading the books. I have a slight problem with that. Are normal girls not independant at all? Do the chuck thereselves off cliffs? Ok that one has an obvious answer, but I mean when the going gets tough, we do not all resort to craziness. We are not extreamely klutzy and we do not obsess over our men.

As for the topless comment. I went because I love the books. Taylor's abs were just a bonus.

Honestly all they really did was have her screaming a few times and acting alittle irrational... Honestly I really think they should have put in the part
where Bella completely falls apart on the beach and is laying there in the sand with her arms wrapped so tight around her crying then Jacob finds her and they have that whole conversation...
Just seriously comparing the Book to the movie on her depression level it just didn't seem like she was depressed enough in the movie....

I forgot to say how much I enjoyed Charlie in this movie and his line about being the original ladies man was classic He's such a great character.

I really wish they would have put in Charlie and Alice's conversation from the book... Also i absolutely love Jacobs reaction to Mike running off to the bathroom to puke."What a Marshmellow." and another part I wish they added more in the movie was the age determination between Bella and Jake.

I'm team Charlie! His moustache is hawt 😀 Who wants Jacob or Edward when you can have the original Ladies man?

Did anybody think Bella's screams while dreaming were a little over the top? It sounded like she was having a kid or something. 😛

Yeah see thats what i'm saying I mean grant it she screamed in the book too but there was just more there than just screaming, I mean with her just screaming it was just wasn't really right ya know... I dont know like I said I just wish in the movie she was a bit more depressed I mean dont get me wrong the movie was still great much better than Twilight and all but I do wish some things stuck even closer to the book *shrugs*

I get annoyed at talking about the whole Twilight saga subject these days, 😛
Honestly, i gave Kristen Stewart another chance, and i still don't like her as Bella, she's a good actress and a beautifully stunning young woman!
I just pictured Bella to be a bit more girly, and happy! Also when Kristen reads her lines she sounds like a robot reading a script, it just sounds kinda fake.

:/

I did like the film better than the book, but i don't know, the films will never live up to the books.

Rob Pattz is stuck up his own a*se!
What happened to him?

Taylor is one sexy boy! HA i'm alowed to say all i want, i won't feel like a perv like everyone else who is older than me! HA Mwuha. just kidding

It was not a stab at you or people like you. I'm not sure why you think it was. I was talking about people who say they don't like the books or the movies and just go to see half naked boys. I know a few people like that and I also heard some girls in back of me in line saying it. You like the books and the movies and also enjoy wolf boy's abs. Nothing wrong with that, they are nice to look it. There was just a lot of pointless stripping and wandering around topless just for the hell of it.

Honestly all they really did was have her screaming a few times and acting alittle irrational... Honestly I really think they should have put in the part

See... I just can't understand this. You're entitled to your opinion, of course, but how can anyone not think she was depressed enough? When she wasn't whining and moping, she was damn near catatonic. She did nothing but sit and stare out her window for months, she refused to talk to the few friends she actually had, and I remember more than one scene of her curled up in the fetal position in the forest. She rode off with some random biker dude who could have done any horrible thing he wanted to her, made Jacob build her a motorcycle so she could try to crash it, and threw herself off a cliff all just so she could see his face telling her to stop being such an idiot. If that's not depressed enough then I don't even wanna know what they had her doing in the book.

I think that's my biggest problem with these movies. This chick has absolutely no personality and is so damn pathetic it makes me sick. She's the type of girl who has to validate herself through a relationship. If she doesn't have someone to cling to, she doesn't know what to do with herself and has no will to live. Edward has no personality either. Together they're just so boring and uninteresting. Even when they're "happy" they both look suicidal. Bella is afraid of getting old, we all are. Bella doesn't want to be alone, no one does. But watching her do one desperate and ridiculous thing after another cause she has no inner strength, no self-esteem, no respect for her family or herself, and wants nothing out of life other than death is just way more than I can tolerate. I see nothing beautiful or romantic about it.

Again, no offense to anyone. I know a lot of people love Twilight. Just that one comment about her not being depressed enough throws me into a ranting frenzy.

Sorry hun, guess I took it the wrong way!
I mean dont get me wrong your right all those things she did because she was depressed but I just For some reason reading those things in the book ended up actually making me depressed but watching the movie it just seemed like just from her reactions sometimes to it just didn't touch on being that depressed maybe its just the way kristen portrayed it I dont know but theres just a massive difference on the depression levels between the book and the movie. Its hard to explain but I know over on the twilight forums i'm apart of thats one of the things we've all been discussing is the difference of depression levels... its alittle off. I was just really looking foward to that one scene where she really is just completely falling apart because I think that would have honestly topped it off perfect In my opinion but I mean like you said everyone definately has their own opinions and maybe i am wacko for thinking it needed more depression....
