Entirely new to BuffyBoards and forums in general but a Buffy and Angel watcher and fan for a long time, here.

Will be great to meet and chat to other like-minded people.

I've never read any of the comics (yet) so I'm all about the TVS. Spike and Wes are my favourites by a mile, but also got a soft spot for Angel. And of course Gwen Raiden.

Good choice for your favourite characters I'm a big Spike fan myself. Do you have a favourite season for either show? And what are some of your favourite episodes?

I guess it's hard for me to choose a favourite season for either. Funnily enough I've always really liked Angel s5 - I found the idea of trying to defeat a corporate evil, while being employed by said evil, really relevant.

A Hole in the World from beginning to end is amazing for me. Although utterly heartbreaking. Big fan of the heartbreak. After Life gets an honourable mention if only for the way Spike looks at Buffy on the stairs when he realises it's really her.

Yeah I actually think the later seasons of Angel are better, it had a slow start but did really grow from there. There are a couple of not so good episodes in the final season, but I agree with you that it is taken a fresh direction, and adding Spike to the cast was great choice. The season finale has to be one of best I've seen of any show recently too. Just a shame they didn't get at least one more season.

Restless is my favourite Buffy episode closely followed by Passion. Season three is my favourite season its just about perfection.
 
We have devoted shippers (supporters of a relationship) on this board. The 'ship is usually referred to by an elided name like Bangel for Buffy and Angel or Spuffy for Spike and Buffy. This is a bit of the shorthand that you get used to here. This is an amazing board with generally friendly interaction and good entertainment from the few instances of not-so-friendly sparring between certain people. There are some people with excellent insight into the characters and plotting and I hope you join their ranks and provide your point of view as often as you can.

BTW I like Season 3 of Buffy and Season 5 of Angel the best. Season 5 of Angel asks and answers the question, if you has all the resources of good and evil at your disposal, what would you do?
