New Policy on Episode Discussions

Let's try something new on these.

1. People should not post in 'Official' Discussion threads until the episode has aired in the US or UK (depending on the forum you're in).

2. You can discuss episodes obviously before that, but either call it pre-discussion or just the episode title. And if appropriate place it in the spoiler forum. So, for example, if you've seen the episode early and know what happens, post in the spoiler forum as it will be spoilers.

It just seems like the discussion threads are being posted earlier and earlier, so that by the time the episode has aired the thread has progressed so much that you don't even want to post in it anymore.

Does that mean Canadians should wait until the day after the ep airs there? Some people in Canada see Buffy Monday night and Angel Tuesday night.

I get Buffy, followed immediately by Angel on Tuesdays. I live on the west coast just in case any of you yanks aren't up on your geography. 😀

Does this mean that I see it a day earlier than most americans? The episode guide says it airs the next day in the US but is that for everywhere?

On the east coast, we get Buffy on Tuesdays and Angel on Wednesdays.

So what do you all think? I just am concerned that the discussions are being started earlier and earlier, so that it gets away from discussing the actual episode.

Because there's quite a few Canucks (including me) on this board, I think that Angel episode discussions should be started on Tuesday for the US, and not until after 9pm, which is when it's on. I think people who read wildfeeds or download the episode beforehand should wait until the episode has at least aired in Canada.

I usually go straight from the TV to the 'puter at 10:00PST (when it ends) and by then the official thread has already started. 😀 I also just noticed I get the WB out of the US today too so I can get a little doulbe dose of Angel goin on and man after that last episode I needed it.
