New Red Dwarf

That episode stank....of AWESOME
I have to admit, I laughed a few times, proper belly laughs too.

I do hate the BBC for a couple of reasons though.

1) Why has it taken 10 years and a low rent repeat channel to make anything like this?
2) I've officially been dumbed down by the BBC. It felt odd that there wasn't a laughter reel used.


I have issues with some things, but I'ma wait until the last episode to see if they get answered...like why is there a Rimmer Hologram.
 
Just finished watching the ep. I thought it was very funny. 😀 I thought maybe it would have lost some of it's spark, but it felt like the same Red Dwarf even with the different set and costumes. The no laugh track was a bit weird at first, but I got used to it.

I need to watch it again. So many great quotes. 😀 I especially liked Cat's mix up with tentacle and testicle, hehe.
 
I thought it was brilliant. Loved Big Sooz's appearance!! I was really pleased that it did have the old Red Dwarf about it. I was worried that it wasn't going to but I was so relieved. Can't wait for tonight's one 😀

I loved the cat's shiny purple cat suit-thing!

I thought tonights episode was even funnier. Lister trying to start a conversation with someone while drying his arse cheeks on a hand dryer had me laughing out loud. And we got a space core directive! Love them.

I loved the whole thing!

I loved the DVD skit.

I loved the 'tricorder' skit.

I loved the 'erasing a hologram isn't murder'.

I loved it all.

I hope the DVD has the synopsis that Kryten was reading - I shall be buying this!
 
This thread is KILLING me, I don't have the Dave channel and i'm waiting for a guy at work to get the episodes for me.

According to an advert on TV during the first special, plus the blatant advertising in the second episode, a DVD boxset of ALL the seasons plus the 3 episode special will be available from next week for £39.99.

Maybe we should send a copy to Andrew!

I have all the seasons,just want these eps.
Second episode was so good. I love the idea of them being in our world as the characters, a lot of jokes to be had in that. 😀

I thought Kryten's disguise was hilarious. Aww, it's so good. 😀 I wish there was another series.

Absolutely - this could be Daves chance to move from a Repeats channel to a bona fide channel with programming.

Its ratings might not be the best for a BBC One show but for Dave - I would be surprised if Dave doesn't do more 'Reg Wharf' and start buying other shows that are now not being made (Keeping Up Appearances and the like) and doing this sort of thing.

It could go from the Repeat Channel to the Resurrection Channel.

The Coronation Street bit was definitely the best part of that episode.

Quickly though, I haven't seen Corrie for a few years but either something has happened to Rita and she got hot, or someone else works at the Kabin - who was that because she was FINE!!!

Its also been left open for more - fingers crossed Dave do more.

That was Michelle Keegan(i think thats her name) she's Davie Platt's girlfriend, she helps Rita out in the shop. I loved the whole accents bit when Kryten, Rimmer and Cat were talking to her.

EDIT: Yep, it's michelle keegan, the making of programme on Dave right now just said.

She is HOT!

I did like Steves role was fun.

I want 'Car-Bug'. It looks AWESOME!

The accents was fun, I think Rimmer was my favourite.
 
I was SO impressed with all three episodes! The Lister hand dryer bit was too funny, I could just imagine it - which might stop being funny and start being gross soon!

I agree, the accents were ace. I thought Kryten with his 'mate, love, pet' was brilliant.

Definitely going to be buying this 🙂
 
Still disappointed with the whole thing, but part 3 was really funny

(only disappointed as not much happened in the space of 3 eps... like in a normal ep all that would be in one ep)

i HAVE to agree with Flannen about the hand dryer, i dont think it would be that funny if we saw it but imagining him doing it really was

and i LOVED Cats pinky purple outfit... nobody could pul it off like him and Chloà« Annett was as pretty as ever
