New Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer

They obviously went to a lot of effort with their special effects. I just hope that they went to that much effort with the story and actors.
 
I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan, the movies are mostly good. The trailer looks pretty good. I will totally go see this in theatres.
 
The international trailer is much better (and their poster is better too)

I don't expect it to be.. otherwise it would never live up to my expectations. If I go in thinking it will be !awesomtacular! I run the risk of being disappointed.. if I go in thinking it will be okay, maybe good then I might leave thinking it's !awesomtacular!

I expect it to be quite good. I don't know how some people can pretend to be able to consciously control their expectations of something. You can prepare for the worst, but if it's bad you'll end up being disappointed nonetheless, because deep down your expectations haven't changed.

Why do you think this one is so much better? I don't know which one I like better, but the new one has this obvious epic trailer music in the middle, which I detest.

I think the US version had too many voice-overs when compared to the international version. The international version had more scene dialog and it felt more of an authentic representation of the movie.

I guess by 'US version' you mean the international version and by 'international version' you mean the Japanese version. Anyway, good point. However, I love the "love theme" from The Empire Strikes Back in the older trailer when we see the Falcon. The use of music in a trailer is very important to me.

Yes, the music from the first trailer is what really sold it. Otherwise it felt just like vignettes and not really a trailer. If you watch both the trailers with the sound off, I think, you will still get the feels from the second and not the first.

I didn't make it.
I hesitated to watch the Japanese trailer, so I don't think I'll watch any more stuff, especially since @Mr. Pole calls it spoilery. Is it good though?

Yes, it looks good.. and seriously, I do regret watching it. Not that it was overly spoilery and yelled 4! but it did basically say 2+2=4
