New to this board (but not the Buffyverse)

Hi folks!

After visiting the Buffy board on IMDb for the first time recently, I've rediscovered my memories for the show in earnest. 🙂 Subsequently, a little search turned this place up as the potential place to find other fans to hang and chat with!

I watched Buffy (and Angel) back when they aired here in Australia, and was a big fan back then. It's been a while since I saw a lot of episodes, but talking about them - and reading others talk about them (here and elsewhere) has made me feel really nostalgic and want to rewatch the whole show again, in fact! I might even do that... if anyone else was interested in reading (and commenting on) an old-time fan ramble on about 'rediscovering' a show he used to love so much.

Otherwise, I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself here. 🙂
 
Some more aussies. Great. :welcome: to the boards. You'll definitely have fans to hang and chat with. Just throw yourself in and it'll be good.

Thanks for the welcome.

I'm not online as much as perhaps some folks, but I'll try to be as active as I can and get to know folks here!

I've been reading some more topics here, and REALLY feel a rewatch marathon is in order... might just start this weekend in fact.
 
Thanks! And interestingly, I was lucky to get just 'Banjo' here... normally I AM 'Banjo Oz! Spooky? 😀

I was thinking about that... though I've re-watched AtS MUCH more recently than Buffy (and at a push, I'd probably say I 'prefer' that series). Not that it wouldn't be fun to rewatch too, so I might still do so if attempting all of Buffy is a success (I adore BtVS S1-3, but the later seasons might demoralize me at times! 😉 ).
 
Hey Banjo welcome! 😀 oh ITA about season 1-3, the earlier seasons are better than the later ones, the third season is the best one IMO, but you gotta watch 4-7 again cos they're awesome too dude!..

When I did my last rewatch, I watched Buffy s4/ATS s1 concurrently, so a Buffy episode then an Angel episode, to get the most out of the crossovers. I really loved that! I didn't feel the need to do that for every season (that's the one with the most crossovers), but I did do it a little bit for Buffy s7/ATS s4, especially with the Faith arc.

Wow, thanks SO much for the kind welcome folks! This is seriously the first board like this I've ever done a 'new member says hello' post and got more than one or two replies, so it's nice to see how friendly and welcoming everyone is here!

I'm glad I found the board (and that it's still so active all these years after the show(s) ended!) and look forward to posting and chatting here!

Right now, I'm ripping my Buffy S1 DVDs to my media hard drive to prepare for the epic rewatch (will make it a lot smoother than changing discs every few eps!)... 🙂

Oh, and Msfantastico87... you'd be most welcome. Like everywhere, we have are problems occasionally (from rotten politicians to totally crazy weather), but Australia's pretty cool place to live, most of the time. 😉 Though there's plenty of other countries I'D love to visit (e.g.g I'd do a US 'road trip' one day)!
