I got the Buffy boxset today! It's the one where you stack the DVD cases to make Buffy's face (I had the Angel one, so I had to get the Buffy version of it), it's taken me ages to get every season on DVD!

NEW YEAR. That makes me happy. And the fact that I spent all of yesterday writing letters to my friends (and that does include you Zoe!). So, letter sending in a few days time and now I have the Buffy calendar up on my wall. Best. Day. Ever.

I've never given neg rep in my life and you're great but I'd feel bad if I didn't defend Zobo. She's like my big sister and giving her negative rep for no reason is just unfair :(

In reality I've only given her negative feedback twice and they were both times I disagreed with her post so there was no malice. However I don't quite understand the rep thing, what does it do? I couldn't care less if I get negative or positive rep because it seems to make no difference either way, if people wanted to neg every post I ever made from now on I would find it amusing but not actually see any difference in my use of the forum so why do people care about it so much?

Dude, I think it's 'cause this is meant to be a really friendly forum. I know you may not agree with everything that's said but negative rep isn't given out very much. It's sort of an unwritten rule that we all just have to deal with. And I think the fact that you said given Zoe negative feedback makes you happy sort of fuelled the flames a bit. And a lot of us are very close to Zoe, so it was taken very badly. You may be surprised by it but we're like a family here.

Man I'm not arguing with you because you know I am your mate on here, but why have a negative feedback option if it's not there to be used? If I disagree with what's posted I neg it, I have done it to loads of people. I use the plus much more and must have given Zobothehoho at least 10 positive ratings since I've been here, compared to 2 negative.

I'm not arguing with you either. I just had to defend Zoe because a) she is my adoptive mother on here 😀 b) she is my online big sister and c) I love her more than words can express. But anyway.

I know, it doesn't make much sense. I completely understand where you're coming from and how your mind is working. It doesn't make a lot of sense, I think that button is there for the things that you really, really disagree with. You know, like how people really, really disagreed to your post about Zoe. It's often disagreeing to something that is breaking the rules. Often people do disagree to a post and comment on it through rep but they click the agree button so it comes out as less harsh. I know it doesn't make too much sense but it's jut the way it is around here, we like to keep things friendly.

I'm glad you've given Zoe more positive rep than negative. I'd just refrain from saying that giving her negative feedback makes you happy because that's not fair to her. 😀

Look, my issue is that giving neg rep is kind of reserved for when someone posts something offensive or particularly infuriating. It's just the etiquette of the board. Also the second neg rep post you posted was to something that made ME happy and your comment on the post was "LOL 🙂" Which made me feel like you were making fun of me because I pointed out to you earlier I didn't appreciate neg rep. It is against the rules to fight about reputation and I don't want to do that. I can deal with getting neg rep from you if you honestly disagree with my post. (I don't see how you could honestly disagree with something that made me happy but whatever). But saying you enjoy giving me neg rep which you know already I don't like is not just ignoring basic board etiquette, it's being blatantly rude to me. This is not the first time you've been blatantly rude and I'm pretty sure it won't be your last... but I don't like it. I don't keep score of my rep and it's not the reputation points or posts that matter to me. It's how rude that post of saying you get happy by giving me negative rep that upsets me. Please stop being so rude.
