New Year's Eve plans... what are they?

So I am having an open house during the day for friends to pop in for a cuppa if they want to. In the evening I have 2 friends joining us for cheese & biscuits & booze. We will play Christmas monopoly and possibly other card and board games! Nothing too exciting but we will have a giggle and get merry!

What are your plans, do you have any?

My christmas eve won't be remarkable - but always have my brother and the kids in the house on new years day for a roast.

We will be going over to my sister’s and this year I’m bringing one of my best mates to hang with us. He has a daughter my niece’s age, so I’m hoping they can get along.

We usually play games and drink booze. The kids have a game every hour on the hour from 7/8 to midnight.

Yeah, it's been a couple of years now since I had any plans on New Years.
Now I just stay home, by myself, trying my best to not fall asleep on the sofa before midnight. 🙂

But I don't mind it. It's a good day.

New Year's Eve has always been my favorite holiday.

I used to always go downtown and watch the fireworks, but haven't done that for a few years.

I don't have any plans for this year either.
I managed to catch Tokyo's countdown celebration online this morning, and I will likely just watch the local festivities tonight on TV, in my warm house.

I invited Spikey baby to visit me on New Years eve, trouble is I fell asleep at 7:30 so he might have come here, I don't know.

I usually just have a quiet evening at home nowadays, but I will stroll a couple blocks down to a view of the fireworks at midnight. Still, I'll be up later than most of you, because we on the American west coast here are almost the last to see the new year in!

May 2024 be a great one for us all!

No plans for this evening (i've been dogsitting for a few days) but I've got a couple movies lined up to see in theatres this week: The Iron Claw w/ my sister, The Color Purple w/ my mom, and maybe a sneaky solo Wonka showing if I can swing it (bc I enjoyed it *way* more than I thought I would the first time). So the new year's off to a p good start!
